Outtakes
I have been enjoying taking the pictures for the Fashion Forward posts on Sunday. It is fun to pull out all of the old outfits from the pugs’ closet. But I wanted to share a little behind the scenes dirt on what it it like to work with little Luna. Sure, she looks like a perfect angel in the first two Sunday posts so far, but let me tell you that girl is the wiggliest of all the wiggle worms. It seems like a part of her is always in motion. Her tail, her tongue, it could be anything. The hardest part, though, is that she hasn’t mastered the stay command yet. She will sit like a pretty angel, but as soon as I kneel down to take a picture of her she is in my lap. It is quite amusing.
So, the fashion forward posts have been a great opportunity for us to work with Luna on the stay command. So far, Luna 2, mommy 0.

With such an adorable subject, how can you not but love her to pieces. All Luna knows is she is getting extra attention and lapping it up. I’m sure eventually that little sweetheart will get the point of stay, but if not, welllll she’s still a sweetie and we love the fashion shows.
lol. Believe me, Luna is a statue compared to our guys and the stay command. The what? what does that mean? lol
Only us to blame though, for now training them better as pups.
Thanks for reminding us that even your pugs aren’t perfect. lol

Thanks for sharing with us the outtakes. I really thought that the pugs let you take their picture on the first take. Silly me, I thought it was my pug being silly & difficult lol
I was hoping to get Mr. Skittles to sit pretty… anyone think it is possible??
Sleighbelle is the same way with the camera. I don’t take nearly as many pics of her as I should, so I guess she is still intrigued by the camera. Everytime I get situated to take a pic, here she comes! I have some fabulous pics of pug body parts! Maybe I should just tape them all together and I’ll get one picture! I am also glad to hear that I’m not the only one with a nosy wiggle worm for a pug!
Sounds like my Lucy. Although, if I hold a treat above the camera, I can get her to stay for a moment or two. Luna, you are so precious.
I know what you mean. My pugs rarely sit still for photos…and to me, sometimes the outtakes are precious to me than the perfect photos. Because it’s within the outtakes that the personality of the dogs show.
If there’s even just a part of a pug in the picture, it’s a great picture in my book!
Luna is so sweet. Gus is a camera hog! The minute it comes out, he abandons whatever cute pose I want the picture of, to come sit at my feet! The goofy boy! He is really good with stay since we did 2 training courses with him… but Indy.. not so much. She needs to be food motivated and then she stares at the cookie until I give it to her.
That’s just part of what makes Luna so adorable! It’s like she’s so happy, she just can’t sit still! Love it!
Carla: C.J. is “that way” with Toeby too and silly Toeby is just oblivious!

I love this site. It lets me know my pugs are just being normal pugs. My female, Wheezy Peanut is the most wiggly.
