Inseparable

Wherever Benny goes puffy is sure to follow.
This is pretty much the scene every morning. Benny finds puffy and hunkers down on the couch. Whenever Benny is feeling content, like right after he eats, you can be sure that puffy will be with him.
Part of me can't believe that he still carries puffy around. Puffy was the first toy given to him by G-Ma almost 9 years ago. The fact that it is still intact is amazing!

I adore this pic and love that Benny has puffy the lovie. I find it so heartwarming when they latch on to a comfort item. My Baxter has his “mat”...it’s a blanket that he curls up with and suckles on the corners of…all four corners are worn completely and it makes my heart warm when I see him on it, suckling away, resting contently. Ahhhhh, my heart overfloweth with pug love!
Benny, have fun with your puffy today…maybe give it a toss or two around before next naptime! Love you wrinkley handsome boy!
I love how you are so in tune with your pugs! I feel like I have a better understanding of why you picked Benjamin to be the security blanket carrying Linus from the Peanuts gang for Halloween that year. That puffy is Benny’s “security blanket”. How sweet!
Love the puffy!! Love Benny with the puffy.. too cute for words.
It is amazing how long he has had it, and yet, some toys do not last at all!
Old Friends are the BEST friends!
That is so sweet. I love when dogs have a specific lovie.
Heather ~ I love how Baxter has his blanket. How sweet is that!
Pip has a little pink pig that he loves. We bought more than one when he was little and we realized it was his favorite. He licks his piggy at night before bed. And if you tell him to ‘go get piggy’ he knows what that means.
Pug hugs to all from Gina & Pip
Benny is just too sweet! Our buttons who is waiting at rainbow bridge, had a blanket she loved and I still have it-can’t bear to part with it so i keep it in a plastic bag. I plan to have it go with me so I can give it to her when I reach the rainbow bridge. Pug hugs to all from the Colorado 5
Oh Benny I love you with your puffy. We all need a puffy to cuddle with. That it is still in one piece is a puggie wonder!!!
GiGi is a “pink blankie” Gal. She has others but screams for the pink one when she is upset (thunder) so one is lways at hand.
what a cute picture of Benny and puffy it is amazing its still in good shape
Sue s it hit home when I read about the blanket my Daphne who is at the rainbow bridge had a red blanket that she had since she was a puppy and I have it tucked away to take to her when we meet at the bridge
Obviously, Puffy has been well-loved through the years…We all need our comfort items.
Awwwwww, Benny, you are such a sleeping sweety with your Puffy!!!
My Abby girl still has her Beatrix the bunny that she “stole” out of my easter basket at the tender age of 10 weeks old, now Abby just passed 13 yrs 2 months, so some toys just don’t die I guess
Beatrix is still the first one she grabs and will use as a head rest as well <3
Of all the dogs I’ve loved, none have had a lovie, so until you all educated me, I didn’t know any dogs did! I think it’s sooooooo sweet!!!!
Does Benjamin know Puffy by name? What happens when Puffy gets misplaced? Or does Puffy have a very specific place that it’s kept?
Isn’t it sweet Gina?! Makes me melt…
When we used to live on one level, I could say to Bax, “time for bed Bax, go get your mat” and he’d grab the corner and drag it down the hall to bed…and then drag it up the ramp that is next to my bed for the boys.
Cat, um guess I should say pug, is outta the bag…You guys didn’t know I had a ramp next to my bed for the boys, know did ya?! Yup, I am certifiable, Certified Pug Momma!!
now did ya, not know did ya…It’s been a loooong morning…*I* need *my* lovies, two fury comfort “items” that are my world
Heather, as I’m reading about your ramp, I’m thinking, “what a great idea!” We’re all certifiable!
My husband bought me a t-shirt that says Pugaholic on the front. I think it’s a good description of all of us : )
Finally able to check in…had some surgery this morning.
Benny and his puffy remind me so much of Bo Peep and her teddy she got when she was 12 weeks old. This teddy had reconstructive surgery so many times it didn’t even look like a bear, but it was the only one she really paid attention to. There are so many stories of her and teddy. I finally had to get some new material to replace a part because it could no longer be repaired, and she wanted nothing to do with that part of her teddy. When she was 11 it disappeared and was never to be found. I suspect a Brittany I had at that time ate it. Bo Peep was never quite the same after that. She really missed her teddy.
Sue VDB, hope you’re doing well and your surgery wasn’t too “major”...Wishing you a speedy recovery!
Heather, while we’re confessing, I have “Doggy Steps” next to my bed for C.J. and Toeby!
Is that cute or what? Could it be that his siblings had hidden him (not that they would ever dream of doing such a thing.)
Heather, I know exactly what you mean about your contentment when small things become large.
I have two sets of stairs for my little loves to get onto the bed - doesn’t everybody? As Pug owners we probably do a lot of “nutty” things to confess to.
Sue VDB - hope you are feeling better this evening. I had all my teeth removed (all 20 of them) this morning. I thought the dentist was going to climb into my mouth with some of them. It’s done now and I am so glad.
Awww, poor Bo Peep. Perhaps Bo Peeps teddy was waiting for her at the Rainbow Bridge.
Karen, thanks for the wishes. I had a piece of bone removed from my foot because it was causing ulcers.
Huckle, hope you are doing well. I had that done about 25 years ago and did really well.
I’ve thought many times about Bo Peep’s teddy. I think that really affected her and maybe was the start of the end. Huckle, that is a nice thought that Teddy is at the Rainbow Bridge with Bo Peep.
Hi Huckle & Sue VDB, Hope you both are recovering and getting better. As for stairs to the bed, I just pick the puggers and a Boston up and put them to bed. Do you think my gang is spoiled? Sending pug-hugs to you both for a speedy recovery! The Colorado 5
sue s~I would bet any amount of money that your babes are spoiled! LOL And rightly so, I might add!
Sometimes C.J. and Toeby stand on the doggy steps and won’t go any further, as if to say “A little help, please?” and it’s funny but they always get help! Go figure!
