Cliché

While the pugs were helping us do yard work, the mailman drove past the house and true to the nature of the dog the pugs gave him the what for. I'm not exactly sure why the pugs have the need to bark at the mailman. Often times he brings them goodies in the mail. Apparently, the genetic makeup of dogs has not yet learned of the Internet and all the goodies that can delivered via the postal carrier. I'm sure dogs of the future will love the mailman and anxiously await his arrival. This will probably all happen right around the time dogs get opposable thumbs as well. ![]()

aaww mom, just checking out the mailman… wouldn’t want him to drop off anyhting that wasn’t safe… can never be too careful ya know?? treats… mmm he brings treats….
heehee opposable thumbs
Too funny, Corrine! Once they get those thumbs we better watch out…puggie porn, 24-hour live pug chat, Bones R Us free shipping…we could be in a lot of trouble!
How funny, my puggise boy cries when he sees our mail person, UPS person or Fedex person because he wants them to come in the house and love him and when they come to the door they can’t leave without giving him a love first.
All of you ladies are just hilarious this morning. My mailman does not come to the door unless there is a package too big to put in the curbside mailbox, then Romeo wants attention, Missy barks from a safe distance and I’m never sure of Minnie’s intentions, so I have to put her in the bedroom before I answer the door.
LOL!! Perhaps the gang thinks if they bark-the mailman delivers the much needed treats! opposing thumbs-I wonder if I could get the gang here to do dishes or shovel snow!?! Pug-hugs from the Colorado 5
their making sure he remembers the goodies or else as mine do the same.
I am with them. You never know when Grandmother might send A box of punkin bread!!! Cannot be too careful!!!!
I think dogs have a secret “10 Canine Commandments” they are supposed to follow, and barking at the mailman/delivery man is one of the most important! Followed closely by make sure no human is ever in the kitchen without close supervision in case food accidentally falls to the floor!
Luna doesn’t want to get in trouble so she’s leaving.
Martha - my guys bark loud and long, so we end up opening the door and going outdoors. We’ve gotten some curious looks when we pop out of the door.
Martha Absolutely LOVE the Pug ten Commandments-Do you have the other nine? We have a pet blessing during the year and this would be great to have and share with my congregation! Pug hugs from the Colorado 5
Oh, forgot. Gracie’s birthday is today. She’s 5, ready for kindergarten. I did forget Georgie’s b-day which was St. Paddys. I’m giving them little cakes with a candle in it of course.
Happy birthday Gracie. Happy belated birthday Georgie. Enjoy your cake.
Martha, love your comment. You’ve got commandments 1 and 2 down pat, now just need 7 more.
Sue VDB - Georgie and Gracie say “thank you” (with cake smeared all over their faces.
Ruby absolutely loves to bark, and her main obsessions are the mailman, the papergirl, the garbageman, and the recycle truck. She will run the length of the yard to bark bark bark at those things!
Max loves to bark too. He barks and flings himself at the door or fence, doing his best “big bad dog” impression. But if anything makes one move towards him, he will hide behind anything he can
