What’s Up

Benjamin prides himself on being the only pug that can jump up & lay on the back of the sofa all by himself. The only other four legged creature in the the house that can do it is the cat & Benjamin loves to do whatever the cat is doing.
Since the sofa does not back to a wall, all the other pugs, or really I should say Henry, is afraid to jump onto the back of the sofa fearing he will overshoot and fall off the edge. I can't say that I blame him. Benjamin, however, can do this with ease and he revels in the fact that he will always have the highest lookout spot to himself.
Luna, knowing her limits with her poor vision, has never even thought about sitting on the back of the couch. And Sol, well lets just say jumping on anything is the farthest thing from Sol's mind
I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!

Benjamin, the King of Studs…I mean Pugs…I mean Studly Pugs. So handome AND agile!
That is one heck of a cute picture!
The picture reminded me of the time Seamus & Claudia (parents shiba/pom mix) tried to jump on the back of the couch (very old, very light). They were so excited, they managed to tip the darn thing right onto it’s back. Oops!
He certainly is the King of Studly Pugs!!
or King of the Back of the Couch!
We are seeing the sun here today in NS, the weekend is looking up!! Have a great weekend all, and stay warm!
Heather-your comment made my day! Benny is a sudly,I mean studly, handsome Puggie! Don’t suppose I could get this handsome guy to come “partay” with me for my birthday? As I end one deacde and get ready to proceed in to the 60’s(gee the 60’s again!)I take great pleasure in the simple things in life-like the OBP website, the pictures the comments and the love shared in these few simple verses!Hope all have a happy week-end! Pug-hugs from the Colorado 3
Hapy Birthday Sue!!! May you get lots and lots of birthday puggie kisses!!!
Great picture of a Great Pug!
Benjamin looks so handsome very talented my pugs would never think of trying to get on the back of the couch they would rather sprawl out on the seat of it the five pugs take up the whole couch I am allowed a cornor of it have a great weekend everyone and happy birthday sue Heather so glad you are back on the blog
Benjamin is truly king of the mountain, er sofa. Anyone can see the pride in that sweet little face.
Heather, glad to see you back. I know a lot of us have had you in our thoughts.
Happy birthday Sue S. Hope Daisy and Beauty give you a ton of birthday kisses.
Happy weekend everyone.
Our pug Henry does this too - we call it “perching.” He always wants to know what’s going on and “perching” gives him the perfect vantage spot. It always surprises our guests when they’re sitting on the couch and Henry positions himself behind their head!
Benjamin rocks!
Heather, I’m happy to “see” you! And I hope you’re doing alright. Been thinking about you!
Sue, Happy Birthday! We’ll all partay with you in spirit, if not in person!
My girl approves of Benjamin’s agile little body, being able to get to the back of the couch for a look-out spot. My girl, also likes the back of the couch, but her couch does back up to a wall, so she can’t tip it over. Benjamin is a studly pug, indeed:-)
Happy birthday, Sue!
Benny, you just are tooo cool! What a priceless expression on your little puggy face!
Have a great weekend all! Stay safe in this cray-zeee weather!
OH MY…This is the third time I have tried to type this…my Paws are getting worn out!! Grannie Pug is very old and forgot to plug the cord in so the laptop went out!!!
Jumping up on a couch, how smart (and limber) Ben is!!! I am a very OLD pug gal and came to live with Grannie Pug two years ago from Pug Hearts. I cannot jump up anywhere..have to use help to get up the steps onto the bed…have to be helped down!
Someday I’ll surprise everyone and be sleeping on her pillow and NO ONE will know how I did it.
Pugs Rock…GiGi
Tha’s an awesome picture! Mine love the back of the sofa too.. Gus doesn’t mind if he overshoots though and that bothers me!
Benjamin, You an awesome PUG!
If OBP doesn’t mind I would like to request that all my pug pals vote for Risky Pug In the Bissell Most Valuable Pet photo contest.
All awards will benefit Pug Rescue.
Just go to Bissell.com and do a search for Risky and please vote for him. Thank You.
You vote could benefit PUG Rescue!
Your pal, Claude
Thank you for the heads up Claude Pug. After some problems getting logged in, I voted for Risky. He truly is a very handsome and awesome pug.
Hi Claude Pug… just put in a vote for Risky
best of luck for him!!
Happy Birthday Sue! Wishing you lots of Puggie hugs and kisses.
Welcome back Heather. You’ve been in my thoughts.
Sadie loves the back of the couch - uses me as a ladder to get there and then rests her head atop mine. Those pugs love to be top dogs.
Have a great weekend all.
sitting on his perch is what we call it here as two of mine do that they jump up and take their spot.
Great shot! Have a great weekend to you, too!
I almost want to put a caption of “Talk to the Paw!” on this picture..
Obviously, i’ve gotten that gesture from the dogs once too often…
HI All, Thank you for your birthday wishes-Beauty & Daisey were soooo good-stayed on my lap so I couldn’t get up to do this and that-watched the 2 play-off games with my two sweet girls to keep me planted and warm! I will check out the Bissell web-site and vote for Risky so that more sweet fur babies will find that one forever LOVING home they all dream and long for! Thanks for the “Paws-up” Claude! Have a great day all!! Pug hugs from the COlorado 3
