Um…Ladies

There is a doggie door just to your left. Feel free to use it any time.
The girls are also nicely framing one of the best things we have ever bought - a top entrance litter box for the cat. Why so much excitement over a litter box? Well, when the boys were puppies they picked up the nasty habit of fishing in the litter box. It was disgusting and keeping them out of the litter box while giving the cat free access to the litter box became a real pain. Then I discovered a top entrance litter box at Petsmart one day. It is essentially like a plastic storage container with a hole cut in the top. With a $30 price tag, we passed on buying the box the first time we saw it and tried to make our own. The sturdiness of the lid was a big issue after we cut a hole in it and since I don’t want to do anything to jeopardize the cat’s litter box experience, we shelled out the $30 bucks for the real thing and it has absolutely been a perfect solution to our problem.
Lucky for us, the cat isn’t too picky about her litter box design.
And speaking of the cat, she is probably the one that uses the doggie door the most!
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Hmmm…maybe Luna and Sol think it’s a kitty door!! lol
Happy weekend to all in OBP land…
Mom it is much more fun to stare at you long enough to get attention than to use the doggie door. LOL
The nasty litter box habit is the reason I have the litter box on a utility table where Romeo and Minnie can’t reach it.
Happy weekend to all the puggies and their parents.
Um…Mom, yeah we know about the doggie door, but as Pug Princess’s of the house we should be waited on paw & tail like the royalty we are! Don’t worry Sol, we’ll get her trained - Luna.
Apparently the desire to get into the litter box is a trait shared by a lot of pugs. My son and daughter-in-law had to go to great lengths to prevent their pug Norman from getting into the kitty’s litter…. You’d think it would be obvious that it’s not a good place for little puggies to go.
Your girls are just tooo funny!!
Happy beautiful Spring weekend all!
Pug princesses for sure… being waited on paw & tail… too cute!!
Have a great weekend everyone!
This doggie door thing is soo funny. I don’t have a door, but I “corgi-sit” for a friend and they do have the door. Sleighbelle will watch the boys go in and out and wants no part of it. One time, I put her through it and the look on her face was priceless: “I was inside, now I’m outside. How’d that happen??”
But as for the corgi’s, yes they have a doggie door and use it all the time, but if a “people” is in the house, they stand at the door and wait to have the door opened for them! Even non-pugs need that special treatment.
Aww…they’re SO adorable!
Yes we have that problem too.. and while having a pug come to you with litter on their nose is cute, cat poop breath not so much!
We took one of those large tupperware/rubbermaid bins that are only 7$ and cut a hole and it worked perfectly. The only problem is the smell is alot more noticeable.
We have since gone back to a litterbox with a side door, we just have it at such an angle that the pugs can’t even get their heads in the door1 :D
Sleighbelle’s story makes me think - Who’s got who trained??
Stacey,
I freely admit that she has me trained! I think I was in charge for about 5 minutes!
