Summer Reading

Late last week I ordered the book Home-Prepared Dog & Cat Diets: the Healthful Alternativeand I was very excited when it arrived yesterday.
With Sol's new digestive issues, we reached out to our old vet in Maryland, who originally got us started on the home cooking path, and she recommended several great resources.
I have Chapter 1 under my belt, but I also did a quick once through most of the book. It looks very in-depth. There are lots of charts on daily caloric requirements for dogs at different stages of their life along with many recipes. Hopefully, we will be able to find something that is a good fit for Sol and perhaps even tweak the boy's and Luna's diet a bit so that is even better for them.

Very cool! I bet the pugs can’t wait for mom to get cooking with the new receipes. How fun
Sol is so sweet, she is just an angel, love the picture!
What an adventure! I know that you will find a perfect solution for Miss Sol and soon her rumbly tummy will be not so rumbly anymore!
I take it the meds and new diet have not solved sweet Sol’s rumbly tummy? Don’t worry Sol, with mom on your side, she will soon find you something you can devour and not have to worry.
If there’s reincarnation, when I die I want to come back as one of your pugs! I’d have the sweetest life!!
Oh her poor tummy still isn’t better? Hopefully this will fix it!
I love Sol’s squished little face in this picture!
Awwwwww…LOVE the photo of Luna. She’s so adorable I could just eat her up!
Sol is thinking, “no need for me to read that book (and I CAN read), cause Mom is on the job and is large and in charge!”
Looks like Sol is waiting for the movie to come out and hoping it’ll be more exciting than the book!
Oh SOl you look like I do when the word D-I-E-T is said! Not too worry, sweetie, unlike me, your’s to make your little tummy feel better!Hope it works and real soon-Thanks for sharing the book title, too!
