Side Saddle
Benny used to sit like this from time to time when he was a pup, but as he has aged he sits side saddle more and more often. It must feel good on the ole joints.
I also want it to go on record that Benny is sitting in wet grass. It is almost impossible to get him to even walk in wet grass, but on this day, he threw caution to the wind and just plopped right down.

I love it when they sit side saddle. Sleighbelle used to so that alot. Soooo, since the side saddle might feel good on the old joints, maybe the wet grass feels good on the old butt??? Just a thought!!
Benny, you look adorable.
Annie Fannie would never get her feet wet, go outside without me at her back, walk in snow, or look to see if I am still there. Now with Zippo around, she does all of these things. If Zippo is with his mama, she will now even go out by herself…weeee.
Love the side saddle! Bella sits like that often! And I love how you said he threw caution to the wind. So funny.

All 3 of my pugs sit side saddle. I was told it’s just a pug thing. My tan pugs could care less about the weather but my black pug hates getting his feet wet or cold.

Benny looks so relaxed my foster pug will not walk on grass very funny he dosent mind dirt or pavement but no grass can not figure why have been trying to work with him on it
Gina, it’s a long, complicated story. Zippo is a black pug and Zeus is a big fawn pug. My friend Vickie, who was suddenly widowed moved in with me last year until she can get settled and get a place of her own. She and her husband were from Alaska and she could not afford the cost of living. Annie Fannie now has two live in playmates, but she prefers Zippo. She loves biting his hind leg. Zeus is a very laid back pug and prefers the quiet life.
