Run puggies, run
I have been on a quest to get a good video of the pugs playing to share with you and until now, I haven’t really been able to capture anything good. Most of the times when the pugs are playing I don’t have the Flip handy and by the time I go get it I end up with 3 pugs just staring up at me.
But, the other night I was able to get a little video of the pugs playing around the pool. Benjamin & Henry love to chase each other around the pool. Luna, as you will notice in the video, isn’t too fond of circling the pool. Since she doesn’t see too well, she tends to hang back while the boys are chasing each other near the gigantic puddle in the yard. You will see her in the video a bit, and I would like to point out, that she is running no where near as fast as she can. She takes it easy on the boys ![]()
My favorite part of the video comes at about 1:32 when Benny turns into a mad man and circles the bench.
Hopefully, there will be more playing videos to come. I will try to get one of little Luna outrunning her big brothers.

They are so awesome. I wish my guys still played like that…LOVE the videos!!!
LOL! Pugs look like such fat little piglets when they run (especially with all the wheezing!) I love it! Dory has to “pugtona” around the coffee table at least once a day.
Pugtona is the greatest! Puggies running at full speed, willy-nilly and helter-skelter is an awesome and entertaining sight… you think they are going to run into something but their radar is awesome!
Very enjoyable video! Tks!
Baby Benny puts new meaning into the phrase “Mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the mid-day sun”!
A good laugh is a great way to start the morning! Thanks for sharing these antics. I loved it.
I love that mad-dash tail-flinging run LOL! Ruby tucks her butt a bit more, and she is all black (so all you see are rolling eyeballs ROFL) but other than that, classic pug run!
At one point it looked like Luna was contemplating trying to drink out of the pool.
i LOVE THOSE GUYS..i DON’T THINK ONE PUG IS ENOUGH! lolol
Da-da-da-da PUG-TONA!!!!!! I’m amazed that no one fell in! I love the part where they all stop and look down at the pool like “oh yeah, there’s a pool here - we better watch out.”
This video is absolutely wonderful!
I think we should all gather our pugs together, make videos, and market them under the name “Pugs Gone Wild”.
LOVE this video. Nothing more fun than watching a pug running!
AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME!!!
I LOVE IT! I love your place or should I say “their” place!
Too cute!!
Oh my goodness! Still laughing and smiling over here. Great video!
Melissa
Your puggies are so fun!
That’s a great video! Luv to watch the pugs “fly”!
C.J. will not be running for a while. He is just coming out of surgery for his “wrist” fracture as I write this. They found some kind of unusual lesion in the joint and biopsied and cultured it. They weren’t if the lesion caused the fracture or if the fracture just enabled them to find the lesion. Anyway, I hope and pray it’s nothing serious. The word biopsy truly strikes fear in my heart!
Would appreciate good thoughts and prayers for my little guy. I love him so! Thanks all!
Karen,
Definately C.J. will have lots of good thoughts and prayers! Your precious little guy has a great momma to find such good care for him : )
Karen, I told you earlier everything would be ok and you must hang onto that. Of course thoughts and prayers are with you and C.J. Let’s pray this fracture is a blessing in diguise. When you are able, give that precious baby and kiss from me, and please keep us informed.
Hi Karen,
I am glad to hear that C.J. is out of surgery. I can just imagine how worried you are about the biopsy. Hopefully, the results will come back quickly and will be good news. Keep us updated and know that we are thinking about you and C.J.
This is so cute ! Its fun to see Henry race around the bench. Brandy does that in the house, she will be sitting down calm and all of a sudden she takes off through the kitchen then half way up the stairs then back again into the family room for several loops. Then she plops down and we sit there trying to figure out what got into her
Great video!
I like to describe pug activities as 4% frenzy…96% snores.
I spent the evening last night snuggling with C.J. and comforting him on my lap. He doesn’t want to walk on the leg yet so his Dad and I carry him everywhere. He’s spending most of his time on our laps and is in a play pen when we can’t hold him. Just like a baby! (He is my baby! LOL!)
Thanks for the thoughts, I really appreciate having folks to help me through this! Love this blog!
Hi Karen, you two are perfect pug parents. C.J. will be just fine I think. Let us know when you get the biopsy back. Hugs and kisses.
Sue, thanks! Will do!
We’re not perfect but pugs make it so easy to love them! My husband always says he can take or leave the dogs and they’re mine not his but let something go wrong with C.J. and he’s right there, fussing over him right along with me! And if Toeby is feeling left out, Dad is right there to cheer him up with some silly play or a good chase in Pugtona fashion!
Hahaha. I love watching Pugtonas. Lola likes to do her Pugtona through our living room and usually ends up on the coffee table. She even tries to get the cat involved.
Is that toy a bag of money? LOL!
absolutely love your pugs and the video! I had to call my husband over to see this one! I thought our Dyna was unique! every night when “Daddy” comes home from work he says to her crazy dog and she circles widly around the love seat around six or seven times and it cracks us up!
Every morning your pug cuteness of the day is my highlight! just wanted to let you know! Thanks!
That was great! Thanks for the laugh and entertainment! I bet the all had a well deserved nap after that. Prayers for Karen and family!
wow, how adorable. We should have anual races to see who’s the fastest!!:D
