Refiling the Flower Pots

Some of the flowers by our front door have seen better days (they get so much afternoon sun that they just fry right up). Knowing it was time to replace them and knowing that Henry likes to get help us pick them out, we brought him with us. As you can see, he is getting kind of used to riding in a buggy! This might be the first time we have brought Henry to the home improvement store when it was not pouring down rain! I actually think he enjoys it better in the rain, but he does better in the cart when the cart is dry!

Yay! for Henry. When we go to the store, I bring along something for ours to sit on. They hate the wire bottom of big part of cart. It must hurt their toes. We never thought of putting one in the child seat!
Henry, you are a busy pug!!! Add gardner/supervisor to your list of things you do!
You are looking quite content in the buggy! Good Boy!
Hope you helped pick out colorful plants for the home
Henry looks very happy to help pick some new flowers out
The flowers are pretty and all but Henry is by far the best looking one there 😍
Hanging that leg down, is stinking adorable!
Henry looks so happy and very handsome indeed!
Good job, Henry for helping your peeps! Without your supervision, they might not choose something that meets your sniff-specifications!
I bet you were the envy of all the other shoppers to have such a handsome helper in the store!
Look how cute Henry looks with his little paw hanging down…I bet he gets lots of attention…as he should:)
Of course! No one wants a wet tushy!
Glad Henry had a good (and dry) time picking out the landscaping!
Henry is such a busy pug, and still manages to find time to be adorable. Hope he found some pretty flowers. QUESTION: How do you treat puparhea, aka the squirts? Ideas please. Pug hugs from pastor sue & the Colorado 2
Hi Susan- I wanted to answer the question about the loose poops pretty quickly. While you may know what “caused” the yucky poos (maybe one too many licks of an ice cream cone or overdoing it on kibble or something similar), loose poops can be a sign of something more serious. We recommend that if this scenario goes on for more than a day or so (beyond the day that puggy got the bonus licks from the frozen treat) that you seek medical attention. From puppyhood, the boys had suffered tummy trouble and we were not able to get their poops to be as they should until we got their diet in line (and eating home cooked foods). Once they were balanced and having good poops, the next time Benjamin went out of wack was from eating a poisonous mushroom in our neighborhood. Again, the next time it was Benny who suffered a case of pancreatitis. Most recently, however, it was Henry who was have loose stool causing us concern and it was that trip that brought us to our vet and they gave him a sonogram and not only realized that he had IBD (Intestinal Bowel Disease) but that is when they discovered his kidney cancer. So, if we had not tried to get to the root of his loose poops, we would very likely not have discovered his cancer until it was too late. I mention this not to scare you but abnormal bowel issues is typically a sign of something more serious (as with Henry’s IBD) unless you know for sure that it was caused from some sort of inappropriate eating issue and in that case, it usually “works its way out” over a day or 2. But if it goes on longer than that, then, really, seek medical advice. No doubt we go to the vet more than your average Joe but that is a scenario where you probably don’t want to mess around and wait….
Sorry if I sound anxious and/or bossy. It is spoken with a completely loving and concerned heart so please don’t mistake the urgency for anything other than the will to get the squirting pug help to get well.
Henry looks so sweet among the flowers. He also looks comfy in the basket. Bet he was the cutest shopper in the whole store.
So jealous that your store allows the Handsome Henry. He’s too darn cute in his seat!
Minnie, Mack and Mario, putting something in the cart for Henry was my first thought. I think they get a little uncomfortable in those things, even with the plastic seat down. No criticism intended at all, merely an observation.
I like Martha’s sniff-specifacitions, or sniffications could also work.
Is Henry smiling? I see either a little slip of tongue or he is flashing his pearly whites.
Thank you Corrine-will monitor the situation closely-Daisey is on heart med and after calling our vet, this is a side effect. Will be checking to see once she is off her med for a few days if the loose poops clear up, then it will be a trial & error on heart meds. If she still has the issue-then we will be visiting our vet for follow-up. Your advice & insight from your experience is greatly appreciated and will give me questions to ask. The girls Solsie & Daisey both seem to be lactose intolerant so ice cream is never on their menu. Again, THANK YOU! Pug hugs from pastor sue & the Colorado 2
It is really great to see some other Pugs . I look forwards to sharing adventures and experiences with you !
