Pug In The City
Welcome back from your day of giving thanks and then shopping for all the goodies you didn't have to be thankful for but now you have to add to list for next year. Hahaha! Well, we are catching up and trying to get back on track with the blog post holiday. There are still a few stories we have to tell about our recent Henry adventure. So, we will try to wrap those up this week and then we will get to more current stuff right after.
As you know, Henry had been on a trip to St. Augustine for the Pugs In the City event and he had had a blast. Well, we were fortunate enough to have reason to do a double take of that city! There was another occasion that brought us to St. Augustine this time. ("NOT a Pug event?," thought Henry.) But it was true! And even though there were no other pugs around, Henry still had a great weekend getaway! You already saw him at the miniature golf range and having as special seat at the breakfast table. Well, here you see him being the center of attention on St George Street which is the unique shopping district of St. Augustine. As we walked up and down the area Henry received many comments. Most of them were very positive. Some of them could have gone either way. While we know, ultimately, the "so ugly he's cute" comment lands him on the side of cute, we never seem to see the ugly portion of that commentary. To us, he is simply handsome smooshed nose to curly tail tip! He is just 100% amazing in our eyes. And this trip he kept proving what a strong guy he is! We will share a few more posts about random stuff on our trip.

Genevieve used to get those comments “so ugly she’s cute”. My son-law was the worst offender . He even called her a fuu fuu lap dog. Judd is a working cowboy and he needs a working dog yo help with his cattle. Anyway, we’ve had Genevieve longer than Judd and of course he’s come around to the pug way of thinking. Especially when Genevieve showed Hank the cowdog who was boss!! Hank is s red heeler)
Henry is so very handsome…and strong.
My Angel used to get that “so ugly” comment from my brother-in-law. The rest of the family thought she was a cutie-pie, which she was. Henry is a cutie-pie too, and if I saw him on the street, I would have to make a bee-line straight over to ask about him and if I could pet him. Anyway, Happy Monday!

Henry is a cutie! We do hear many comments like that there so ugly they’re cute. We love our pugs squishy faces, apparently a lot because we had Persian cats who also have squishy faces!
I have heard Solsie referred to as Pug Ugly (hubby)-as if there were such a thing! But it is said in love and who could not love those sweet faces. Even hubby melts when she goes for the lap. Pug hugs from pastor sue & the Colorado 2
Ugly pug comments coming from strangers are simply strange people. “Real” people know that pugs are handsome and beautiful, so comments are ignored by the rest.
People say things because they think it makes them sound funny or intelligent. I think 90% of people’s comments are like that. Henry is just cute, pain and simple! Looks like he found a nice shady spot to hang out in!
Our kidz get the “so ugly they’re cute” comment…kinda stale by now I have to say. Sometimes I feel like saying to the offender…“have you checked yourself out lately cause you ain’t all that either” but I don’t…at least I haven’t yet!!! Henry on the other hand IS all that and it looks like you all had a great day shopping!!!

I almost punched a teenager last week, when Jade was visiting the library. No one says Jadey Old Lady is so ugly she’s cute and walks away in a good mood. :( No one.
Way to go, Jennifer Davis, I’m with you. My (not so) dearly departed ex-wife said that about me to her teenage daughter. The way I see it I’m the only one who can talk that way about my baby, but I would have to punish myself later,lol!
