Photos from the Pet Sitter
We've recently experienced some challenges in our doggie care scheduling. For some reason Thursdays are an extremely popular day in this neck of the woods. It is a hard day for Auntie M to cover, Grammy attends a special writers group on Thursdays and we had even recently recruited a Plan C person named Katie to cover when neither Grammy nor M could make the rounds. Katie, a laid back lady, has been one of the ones that has taken good care of the puggers when we had to work. We knew Plan C would not work long term as Katie, a sweet woman, was helping us out as she was between jobs. She did land a job (so, very good for her! hard to do in this economy so I tip my hat to her!) but that leave us back to square one with our Thursday woes. Anyway, we wanted to share some pictures from Katie & Auntie M.
Short but funny story about the one of Cupid that is blurred and obstructed by a pug ear. That is Benjamin getting jealous that Auntie M is taking a picture of Cupid and not paying attention to him. He is BABY BENNY you know! Thus, all eyes and attention must be on him!

wow i think of them all babies"lol hugs to benny, luna and henry enjoy your weekend.
We don’t see any pictures! How great that you guys have special folks to come visit.
When our humans leave for a trip, we have a special person that we love, Ellen!!
Drools and licks,
Minnie and Mack
Too Cute!! We also have a special person to look after Mr. S when we have to be away. She has a black lab and a shitzu that we look after when their humans are away.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
I will fly in every Thursday to take care of the pugs!!! And QP too! That would be wonderful!
Love those pictures! Wonderful babies.
Have a great weekend everyone.
Pug (and doxie) hugs from Bella, Susie Dog & me.
Baby Benny - King of the Nursery! Oh! The smorgabord of personalities that live under your roof!!! What fun! I see that QP’s regal manner and unruffled-ness in having her photo-op sabotaged by BB won out and a lovely pic of her Royal Cat-ness was taken as well. Maybe Boom-Boom should have been an “only child” - but then what-o-what would he have done w/out his Henry??!! Great story - good luck with future Thursdays - and BTW: I went online to view today’s post as it hadn’t landed in my mailbox yet and I was feeling anxious. Happy, happy note on which to end the week though with all the puggers & QP accounted for.
Aw Gina, that’s what I was going to suggest. Perhaps we could trade off Thursdays? What a privilege watching those rascals would be. Corrine, you could always tell work that you can’t be in on Thursdays. That would be a popular stance I am sure.
We are having quite a time with Georgie in regard to his paws. He knows he shouldn’t lick his paws after many sessions with Bitter Apple Spray on them. So he doesn’t do it much. When he does and I catch him I say “GEORGIE” in my most stern voice. He stops in mid-lick and looks at me without raising his head. Embedded in Pug Law seems to be that if you freeze in mid-action, wrong behavior isn’t really happening and you can’t get into trouble. My human kids used to think this as well (although not in regard to licking).
HUCKLE: Bella chews her paws alot at night (in our bed, so I’m used to sleeping over the sound of her snorgling and slurping). But I think it’s because she needs something to do as she’s really not tired enough to sleep since she’s slept all day while I’m at work. Sometimes if she’s restless enough, I’ll give her a new chew-bone and shake out all the goodie-gurbage from the comforter in the morning. She reminds me of a cat grooming herself and as long as she’s not panting, I don’t think it’s allergies. It’s just another one of her annoying habits - like her bootie-scooting-twirls on the rug. (I have her a-glands checked routinely, so it’s not that - I may start putting some anti-itch cream on her boopy-do and see it that helps.)
Does GEORGIE make his paws sore with his chewing?
Great pictures, and I had to laugh at Baby Benny’s jealousness…yeah, right, he doesn’t get enough attention with all those other critters there.
Hope you can find someone soon to watch those adorable babies on Thursdays. I know that Luna’s eye meds need to be given, and I’m sure a daycare would not be prone to do that. Good luck.
Happy weekend everyone.
Love the sweet pictures! And I’m glad that Auntie M persevered and was able to get such a pretty picture of Cupid without a pug ear in the shot!
Mary ~ Oh. My. Gosh. “on her boopy-do”. That is hilarious and perfect! I would suspect that only girls have boopy-do’s. Is that correct? Holy moly. Bella scoots a bit too so maybe it’s her boopy do. We have her a-glands checked too. But that so cracked me and is now a regular part of my vocabulary when speaking of Bella’s scooting. Thank you for that!
I love the pictures
I did not get owned by pugs in my email on friday had to go looking for it
Hope everyone has a great weekend
Mary, love your posts. Bootie-scooting-twirls (guess we all know that one). Boom-boom as an only child, hysterical wording. As far as Georgie is concerned, he has not made any sores yet. I’m just waiting. He needs another medical problem!
so cute, doggy and kittyyy!
by the way they look like a little bit…........fat though haha
