One Year Ago

One year ago today, I snapped this picture of Solsey. I can't even put into words how much I miss her. But, I am so very grateful that the 15 months she shared with us are packed full of such wonderful memories. Not a day passes that we don't share a Solsey story.

Thank you for this picture of Sol. Tears come to my eyes every time I see her. Pugs bring a special love with them. My Toby is sitting on the arm of my chair and is my shadow. I don’t know what I would do without him.
aaawww Solsey…sniff, sniff…. forever in our hearts xoxo
She was the luckiest pug to have you. And I think you were lucky to have her too. She has touched so many people’s lives, I’m glad you were able to share your time with Sol with the rest of us!
Awwww, Solsey…I miss her so much…she really impacted all of us and I know we all have a special place in our hearts for her. Thank you for this pic Corrine…I miss seeing her face and hearing all the wonderful Sol stories. I’m also grateful we had her for those 15 months…Miss you Sol and hope you are taking good care of my Ri Ri at the bridge…Love you.
Solsey seemed to pack such spirit in her little pug-body. Maybe because my Bella is a black pug - I just always felt a real kinship with Sols. Such a strong personality. She seems to be in deep contemplation in this picture. I’m very grateful for all the Solsey stories that you shared with us. She was a very special little girl.
Corrine, thank you. Solsey made a huge impact on all of us. RIP baby girl.
Sweet, sweet Sol. You’ve left your little paw print on our hearts forever.
Thank you for sharing Sol with us. I didn’t know her, but I miss her just the same. Tammy, you are absolutely right - she left a paw print on our hearts forever.
Seeing Baby Solsey diverted my attention from wishing everyone a happy Labor Day Holiday. Whatever your plans, have fun and please be safe. We want you all back on OBPland Tuesday morning. Sue and Romeo
I love that little grey face. We all miss her so much. She was a shining light in all our lives.
I think of her every day too…when I receive my OBP daily email and see her name.
I moved to the UK recently and had to leave my beloved pug, Rocky behind, as he’s over 15 years old and the journey would have been too much for him. I miss him more than words could ever say, though I’m told he’s content living with my Mom and brother.
Oh Caroline, I am so sorry you had to leave Rocky behind, and I can’t imagine how much you miss your baby. The good part is he is with familiar people and I am sure he is happy.
Other than leaving my elderly Mom and Dad, it’s literally the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do.
Thanks Sue, for your kind words.
I see Solsey every morning when I open my computer. She is STILL my desktop wallpaper and I loved her so much I can’t bear to change the picture! She really was a precious gift!

Sweet, sweet Solsey.

The tears still fall everytimeI think of this precious little girl. She touched us all and still does.
What a lovely photo and a sad, fond memory of precious Sol. She was one tough broad and a darling, sweet Pug. We all miss hearing about her adorable daily antics.
Love it Patty B - Sol was one tough brawd…and one of the reasons we love her so…resilient Solsey…I’ve been looking at this pic all day…Miss you girl!
Corrine - I love this picture of Solsey, she looks pensive and grateful to be in her forever home. You gave her a very great life and she was loved for just who she was.
Today there will not be a dry eye on the blog. We’ve all made Solsey our own and as much sadness accompanies this wonderful picture of her, it can’t compare to the bittersweet pain you must feel.
Huckle,
I think you very nicely said what we are all feeling. Solsey is loved by all.
Sweet, Precious Sol! You are loved and missed by so many. You truly did leave your paw print on all our hearts. Corrine, we are so grateful that you shared her with us; such wonderful memories. My favorite was her crashing the BBQ!
She certainly is one very, very special pug. Huckle is right, we all made her our own. Rest in peace sweet Sol.
Corrine I just came back on the blog to look at solsy again and you picked the most perfect name for her her big beautiful brown eyes are very soulful
Sol was always my cure for a bad day at work. I’d hop over, see a story about her and the others, and immediately feel better.
She was such a very beautiful soul, thank you for sharing her (and Luna, Henry & Benjamin too!) with us.
It’s the weekend and I just needed to come by and see her beautiful face looking back at me again…Huckle, you are so right…we all love Solsey (and the rest of the gang) as if she was our own…
Missing you everyday beautiful Sol…
I understand how you miss her. We sadly put our pug Violet to sleep a week ago.. she was 14. Our hearts are full of missing her.
Diane, I am so sorry for your heartbreak. They crash their way into our hearts and then leave us much too soon. May good memories of your Violet comfort you.
