On the Rocks
It has been very hot and dry lately here in FL and because of the heat, the pugs have been drinking a lot more water. To spice things up for them and to also help keep their water cool, I loaded up their water bowl with ice this morning. The boys have always enjoyed having some ice in their water bowl. Henry bobs for cubes and when he finally catches one he takes it over to his pillow and eats it. Benjamin, pushes the cubes around the bowl trying to grab hold of one, but he never seems to be able to pluck one out. He does have fun trying, though.
Luna, on the other hand, did not enjoy the ice cubes in the bowl. In fact, she wasn’t interested in drinking any water with them in there. Next thing ya know she is going to be requesting her water shaken not stirred!

My boys, well my “Big Boy” (the older one) used to love his cubes (we call them cubes too)...he would chase those things all over…crunch away. But he’s lost his affinity for them over the years…not sure why.

Ruby will not drink from a dish with ice cubes in it. She will lick an ice cube on the ground. She will happily lap up dirty puddle water if you let her. But she will NOT drink water with ice in it LOL.
And it isn’t because it is too cold. If we fish them out or give her cold water from the fridge she slurps it down like she hasn’t had a drink in a month.
