It ain’t pumpkin bread, but it’ll do

By now I think everyone knows that Benjamin has a thing for pumpkin bread. So when it isn’t Fall, Benjamin is sad because there is no pumpkin bread. Well, fear not! I think we have found a possible replacement to get him through Spring and Summer - blueberry bread. Blueberry bread is the latest bread choice at Bob Evans and we have been bringing some home to the pugs. They most definitely like it. They don’t love it as much as pumpkin bread, but it is definitely a good second choice.
On a side note, when I take photos where I put the bread on the glass table and have the pugs wait until I snap the photo, Luna always cracks me up. She always sticks her head underneath the glass and tries to smell and lick the bread. Guess she is learning about a little thing called the “glass ceiling.”

“Please Sir… May I have some more?”
I love the three individual looks on them…too precious! Baxter and Riley’s Dad found them some pugkin bread this past fall after seeing Benjamin’s affinity…Let’s just say, my boys shared in the joy of all that is pumpkin bread!
Benny says: “You will slide over into my mouth, you want to do it, you will do it. Come here little bite of heaven, come to poppa.”
My kitchen table is a glass top, and Sleighbelle will stand on her back legs and stretch and stretch trying to get her tongue to the underside of the glass…thinking this will let her eat off the table. Yeah, she knows better, but she keeps trying…one day she just knows it’s gonna happen.
Can you come and train my group?
This photo really shows the size difference between Luna and the boys. She looks like a puppy next to them.
Such well behaved pugs!
Aw - so sweet! LOL! Hey ma - can ya hurry it up before Luna starts licking the table again?! LOL!
They are quite a cast of characters!
My Benee used to ride the train with me into manhattan…I would get a blueberry muffin to have on the way in - one day while he was snoring away next to me - he bolted up and grabbed it! (I think he was faking being asleep!). So of course a new routine started and he would get all the blueberries and I would just get the cake!
I’m so happy for them that they have someting to tide them over until it’s pumpkin bread time! It’s admirable that they’re willing to be so flexible with the blueberry bread!!
“hey mom, ya know that you can buy pumpkin bread mix and make it for us ANYTIME, don’t cha?”
Good thing that pugs can’t read because Mama don’t bake much. Cooking dinner is hard enough
I have the best intentions I just never get around to doing any of it.
Why is Luna’s so much smaller?
Just because she is little doesn’t mean her stomach is!
