Intervention
We were looking to do something fun last Saturday night, but it was a bit too hot out. So, we decided to take Henry on an air conditioned adventure to the pet store. Henry seems to enjoy these outings because there is so much for him to smell. As such, his favorite section is the dog food isle, with the fish department coming in a close second. I'm not really sure what his fascination with the fish is all about, but it is a least fun for us to watch him smelling about.
As for me, no trip to the pet store would be complete without moseying on over to browse the dog beds. This particular store has a whole wall of dog beds. The dog bed section is a total snooze fest for Henry. When I asked him for his thoughts on a particular bed, he gave me a look to let me know that he was about to stage an intervention.

Henry is thinking he has enough work going on with 22 dog beds and doesn’t need No. 23…hmmph.

I think maybe Henry was trying to tell you something last week when he was sleeping on the floor in between the beds!
My first thought was, “Oh my pug, Corrine has an entire WALL of dog beds at her house!!” I was glad to read that this was at the pet store instead!!

I thought the same thing Sleighbelle! Wow…she’s not kidding when she says she has a lot of dog beds! Phew. Good thing that was the store.

I just think it’s so darn cute and intriguing that he’s interested in fish! Do you suppose he wants one of his own?!! If he does, I’m sure he’ll promise to “be responsible and remember to feed it and clean the tank all by himself!”
The heat sure is a challenge with pugs. Our Home Depot allows dogs, too. And it is conveniently located right beside Pet Smart, so we have occasionally taken Ben for a double-header errand.
Well Mom, if the urge is too great, buy one and donate it to a local animal shelter cause I have one for everyday of the week!!!

That was my first thought too. They really do have a lot of dog beds. Henry really does look happy and content posing there. Too bad you can’t work out a deal with the store for Benny to be in commercials. I just know their business would increase dramatically.
