Henry Post Surgery

I am so happy to report that Henry is home and is doing very well. He was super happy to see us yesterday. Once he said hello, he marched right out of the vet's office and was scanning the parking lot wondering where we parked because he was ready to get home.
Once we got home, he made no bones about wanting to eat. We gave him a bit of food and he was ready for more. I thought it was a really good sign that his appetite was already back.
I think the hardest thing for him to manage has been the cone. His cone is catching on everything and when that happens he's not sure if it because of something he can't see or if it is because he has a satellite dish on his head. I'm sure in a day or two he will be doing much better getting around with the cone of shame. For now we are super glad he is home and doing so well.
Thank you for all your warm thoughts and kind wishes. It meant so much and was such a tremendous help in getting through these last few days. Have a great weekend!

We love you Henry!
Oh Henry, the dreaded cone of shame! I just knew that would be the part you hated the most of this entire ordeal! I am sure that Benny and Luna are cutting you some slack and not laughing AT you in the cone, but more like laughing WITH you in the cone!
Corrine, I am so happy that Henry is doing so well.
Sending get well wishes your way Henry!!! Izzy & Luke give you big wet puggie kisses too.
Good to have you back Henry. Glad things went well.
xxxxxx
Glad your home Sir Henry!!Also glad that you are eating well and getting around. It will be an adjustment for sure, but you will handle it… no doubt about that! Hope you and your family have a pleasant weekend! xo
Good news!!! So happy to hear everything is going good. I know how relieved y’all must me.
I am so glad that yesterday went well! God bless Henry and his sweet heart! I’m sure you were relieved to see him, and then to have him get home and the only thing on his mind was to get something to eat! A hungry pug after surgery is a very good thing!
Tell Henry I love him, and of course, he’s just as handsome as ever! xoxoxo
What a relief he’s home with you. Sweet good wishes Henry
Henry I am so glad you are home and doing wellI know he will be so much happier when the cone comes off
Love you Hank.
I see Henry is rocking the cone of shame! He looks so much happier. So very happy it turned out ok!!
Thankful to see Henry is doing so well! Corinne, we always use an inflatable collar, rather than the cone, and we LOVE it! It works as well as a cone for keeping their paws away from their faces and their mouths away from any other part of their bodies, but it’s SO much more comfortable for them! When they’re sleeping it’s like a built in pillow. I don’t inflate it all the way, just enough so that it creates an impediment but is still soft enough for them to rest comfortably. And when they mis-judge a doorway they just bounce off a little, it’s not a hard impact. (But we still can’t help laughing at them because they look so cute in their “donut”!)
Oh, Henry you are still so handsome! i’m so glad you are home with your family.
Exactly what I was hoping to read!
You are such a brave boy Henry; healing vibes to you sweetie.
Love you Hank!
Fantastic news! Such a strong boy!
Hooray for Henry! The cone of shame…it will also get you more treats! Don’t be surprised if the cone makes him seem more ‘off’ than normal…if he’s been compensating with his hearing (which he almost certainly has) the cone throws him for a loop in this sense. Once it’s off he’s gonna be so happy!!
Such good news. Thank God he’s doing well. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
So glad Henry is doing well, hard to see one eye shut, but your still as handsome as ever and so glad your no longer suffering. Heal fast and get the satelite dish off. Pug hugs and well wishes from pastor sue & the Colorado 2
rock on, Henry! we love you!
Prayers and kisses coming your way, little Henry
