Happy Halloween
Arr, Matey! It's Henry the Pirate Pug!
After Henry had his eye removed in April, we knew exactly what the pugs were going to be for Halloween. How could they not be pirates?
Liking to get a jump on things, we ordered pirate costumes for Henry, Benjamin and Luna and they were delivered before the end of April. Little did we know, that Benjamin and Luna would not be here to be part of Henry's pirate crew.
It's a bittersweet day, but we know that if they were here Benny and Luna would insist on hitting the high seas and bringing back all the treasure they could find. We're not sure how much trick or treating Henry will be up for this year, so we are going to play the night by ear. This might be the year Henry is the official candy giver outer.
And as a extra Halloween bonus, here is a look back at the pug's Halloween costumes over the years.

Perfect costume! Yes, so very sorry he is the Lone Pirate, but I imagine Benny & Luna are off on a mystical treasure island, drinking pirate grog and watching their Florida family from there. Love to the OBP’ers. And to Henry, a piratey ARRRGHHH!

It is very nice to once again see the costumes of Halloween past, but, as you said, bittersweet.
If you are the official candy giver outer I bet you have fun doing that as the trick or treaters give you attention.
I thought about dressing up Annie Fannie in her Marilyn Pugroe (Monroe) costume, but figured it would not be appropriate for little kids. She won first place at the Pug Howl O Ween party last Sunday.

I have ALWAYS smiled at the pugs’ Halloween costumes; but this year, sitting here at my computer all by myself, I laughed out loud. Hank is at his almost-finest, making a pirate’s light of his one and only eye. Thank you for loving his little pugness and letting us love him too.

Your Halloween costumes have always been the best. Lucy, Linus & Charlie Brown are my all time favourites. I showed them to my parents to convince them that we needed a pug- and now we have two precious pug boys that dress up every year, to the delight of the neigbourhood kids.
