Frustrated

The boys love a Kong with a dab of peanut butter inside. They will spend hours getting the peanut butter out and Henry will continue to lick and chew the Kong long after the peanut butter is gone. Luna, on the other hand, doesn’t really get the Kong. She will run off with her Kong, lick it a few times and then come running back to me all frustrated, with a look that says, “Why did you hide my peanut butter? I have a bowl you know! You could have just put the peanut butter in my bowl!”

I’ve thought of getting a kong for our guys, too, but that would spoil the fun for hubby who like to feed them the peanut butter straight from a spoon, or even more fun…from his fingers. lol
Btw, I thought we’d have a report on the crop circles today. Personally, I didn’t suspect wringworm…that ITCHES: I can speak from childhood experience. :-(
Carla - We go to the vet this afternoon to find out what the crop circles are
I too have been thinking of the vet trip, but realized that since I am an hour head(or more) of most readers, it is way too early for you to have gone yet!!
So, waiting with peanut butter breath, hope the trip goes well.
So, Miss Luna isn’t up to the challenge of getting the peanut butter out of the Kong!
What a Diva!! Gotta luv ‘em!!
Peanut butter in the Kong is the treat of choice for Mr. Utley when he gets in his kennel for the workday… He loves it! We don’t even have to say “kennel up” anymore ~ he just hops in! ...it’s so cute!
I’ve thought about a Kong for Romeo, but wasn’t sure with the short snout if it would work, but apparently it does; the tongue does all the work. Evidently Luna doesn’t like all that work involved.
*laugh* She does look rather annoyed in that photo!
For some reason, I thought the appt was yesterday, just like CJ. My bad. lol
C.J. and Toeby love their Kongs. I put in a dab of Kong stuffing, half a stick of cheese and a Kong cookie. They will go at it for a good long time. Maybe Kong hurts Miss Luna’s little teeth. Have you tried the puppy Kong? They are much softer and more pliable and they come in PINK, her signature color!
Oh, I think she probably gets it, she’s just not happy about it! Can you blame her??? It’s not a treat if you have to work for it! Sheesh!!! In the picture she looks like she could have steam rising from the top of her head, poor frustrated diva!
Sleighbelle adores her peanut butter. She has her own jar, marked, so that I can “double-dip” the spoon for her! She gets a bit of a workout getting every morsel off the spoon! I have not tried the kong, but I do have an orange ball like thing that you can put kibble in, and she has to roll it around to get the kibble to fall out. Man, she loves that thing. It took her no time to figure out how to spin that thing with her paw to get the treat!
I’m so glad that CJ is ok and his ankle is not broken. OBP, we keep little Henry in our prayers. Let us know.
Sweet Luna, just like my Lucy. I put peanut butter in a kong and she licks it a few times and then looks at me like “can you help me out here?” I always end up digging the peanut butter out for her. Diva is right.
Oh I am loving the stink eye she gives him!! Priceless!
I have thought about it getting my guys kongs, but the last thing I need to come home to is a mess all over the couch!
Luna: “Henry - seriously now - what do you find so entertaining with THAT? If you were smart like me you would give mommy attitude so SHE understands that hiding treats is just down right mean!” hehehehe
Luna you are a character!
Thanks, Christina!
Computers been down. Need to restablish this account.
My four prefer their peanut butter off the finger. What’s even better is if I’m “trying” to enjoy a peanut butter and jam sandwich. All 4 dogs sad-eye it until I give them each a piece or two.
We don’t really get the Kong either. Just give us the peanut butter already! hee
Hahahaha…the Miss looks totally pouty in that picture…poor little girl. LOL
Karen, you have a buffet going on in your guys’ kongs. LOL Lucky little puggies…as it should be!!
And what a great idea…a soft, PINK kong for Luna!!!
Henry, praying for you darling and hoping for good news!!
Lola looooooooooooooooves her kong. I mix up what I put in it, but she pushes it around, whines at it, shoves her snout in it, steps on it, gets it stuck under furniture and cabinets, picks it up and carries it to her bed.
Heather, I call it their “borgashmord” instead of smorgasbord!(sp?) They love it and they’re worth spoiling sometimes!
