Over the years, the boys have come across some interesting things on their walks. When they were pups, it was way worse because anything they found they tried to eat. Now, they are a little bit more selective. Key words: little bit.
Of everything they have ever found, Henry takes the cake for stumbling across a whole peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Henry found the sandwich on a hike in Maryland. It was slightly off the trail and I had never seen Henry get so excited about one of his finds. Unfortunately, we didn't let him eat it, because what is a peanut butter and jelly sandwich doing on the side of a hiking trail. But, even though Henry did not get to enjoy his spoils he still held the title of best food find while on a walk.
Henry has held his title for 10 years now, but last week, Benjamin finally earned his own set of bragging rights when he came stumbled across a peanut butter and jelly sandwich of his own on his morning walk. Benny didn't get to eat the sandwich he found either, but he was so excited to tell Henry that he isn't the only one that has found a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
Of all the things that we have ever found on a walk, never once did I think that we would find another pb&j sammy.

LOL! Now one has to wonder what Ms.Luna will find. It is scarey when our fur babies find food that did not come from us-there are some very cruel people that think nothing of poisoning a pet. pug hugs from pastor sue & the Colorado 2
That is so funny! I can just imagine how cute each one of them was finding their own sammy. My pug Spencer once trotted up from a grassy patch with half a glazed doughnut in his mouth, beside himself with excitement. I didn’t let him keep it, and he trotted on, found another patch, and came back with a piece of soft pretzel in his mouth, all excited again. Good grief, did he find a bakery down in all that grass?! It’s always so sad when you have to take the goodies away because they’re just so gosh darn excited.
Y’all must hike/walk in the middle of PB&J territory! That is crazy that the pugs have found not one but two sammys!!
its strange that they would both find the same kind of sandwitch but I would be the same way and take it away How is Benny doing?
When you walk dogs frequently, they do find all kinds of things, but TWO PB&J sandwiches is a very funny coincidence! I can just hear Henry commiserating with his brother, “I know. She wouldn’t let me eat mine either….”
And now if Luna finds a PB&J, I won’t know what to think!
Ruby once found a melted ice cream at the bottom of our driveway. Now, years later, if we happen to have her out in the front, she always ambles down to check and see if there is another ice cream there. You know, just in case LOLOLOL!
Now that is just too much of a coincidence 10 years apart. What do you supposed the odds are in such a find.
Ok Miss Luna, you need to top the boys, but if you come up with your own pb&j sammy, well WOW is all I can say.
Of all my walks with all my dogs, we have never found a pb&j sandwich. That’s crazy!!!!!
The only things we ever find is cat and dog mess. And I’m just not about to take that stuff out of their mouths!!!
