Cuteness Alone

Things have been pretty quiet here in the OBP house. Walks are still limited because of the heat and humidity and we have been getting a lot of rain this week. Which, ultimately, is great because we can always use the rain. But, in terms of pug adventures things have been very humdrum around here. So, since we don't have any interesting stories to tell, I told the pugs they needed to dial up the cuteness until I dream up something fun for us to do and share with all the OBPers out there.

Have a great weekend everyone and don't forget about the 2011 Calendar Contest.

... aaww Mom, “dial up the cuteness”? Ok we’ll try, but we really are cute thru and thru.
Just love it Corinne! There is nothing better than gazing lovingly into those peepers, and having them gaze lovingly back at you.
Happy weekend everyone!
Very nice photo shooting skills. We’ve always been impressed. It’s been pouring on and off in Florida then when we thought we could go out - it rained again. Those tropical depressions continue to form and we really hope that none hit Florida. As you may already know - one hurricane is heading North East and the other one is currently on the same path as the other one.
We haven’t forgotten about the 2011 Calendar Contest and sent in our photos as soon as we heard about the contest. Thank you for posting reminders and we hope every pug get’s a chance to be in the 2011 Owned By Pugs Calendar!
Luna, Henry, and Benjamin really know how to appear in front of a camera. As for the activities, maybe have go out on an adventure - find a pug meet-up? Not everything has to be outside - maybe some interesting new toys? There is a lot!
Have a look in the OBP notebook and see if there are any adventures worth sharing. (There is a lot to share) How can anyone not enjoy looking into this big brown eyes of theirs?
(Sorry for the incorrect use of words - tired in the mornings)
Cuteness alone works for me
Great pictures of Benny, Henry, and Luna. I’m glad they were up to the task of dialing it up. But of course, we knew they could do it
Have a good weekend!
WARNING!!! CUTENESS OVERLOAD.
Those are three precious poses and one can’t help but go awwwwwwww.
Sue, please keep us posted on Jasper. I am praying for a very successful surgery for your baby.
Heather, hope your back is improving day by day.
And Miss Peanut, hope you continue well with your recovery.
Happy weekend all.
I am cracking up at all the end of day licking stories added to yesterday!! Who knew we all had a bunch of lickin’ puggers!!!???
I will take the cuteness of these loves any day…OOOOOO I just really want to smooch on all of them!!!
Sue VDB, thanks so much for thinking of me…slowly, but surely I’m getting there…great excuse for lots of hot baths!!
Jasper, my prayers are up and I am thinking of you!
Miss Peanut, hope you are having another day of speedy recovery.
Happy weekend to all. Lots of love to you and your puggers from me, Bax, and Cole!
Oh they are just so cute. There is nothing better than a pug posing for a picture.
When it comes to dialing up the cuteness, these three can definitely BRING IT!
Yep, happy weekend to all! It’s been 105 and upwards here in central California and C.J. and Toeby are missing their walks…They’re not much on swimming so we just “dip” and cool off, then they go park on the chaise lounge! lol, they are too funny!
They sure know how to dial it up to high!
Have a good weekend, everybody.
Cuteness personified. Boredom personified. How about a nice indoor activity? Manis and Pedis perhaps? a little doggy nail polish would be very spiffy. Have a great weekend everyone in OBP Land.
Corrine I love just looking at there beautiful faces it dosen’t have to be special they always put a smile on my face and I need one today
I have not heard from the vet yet on Jasper I called about 11 and he was in surgery then I will try again before I leave for work and let every one know how he is doing I started to cry when I took him in he did not want to go he kept trying to get back to me which made me feel horrible but I know he will feel better after he heals and can eat normal thank you every one for asking about him and the prayers I love the OBP people so loving and caring hope every one has a great weekend
Andi how is Miss Peanut this mourning
sue, hang in there babe! Jasper will be fine…With all our prayers and thoughts going up, how could he be otherwise? We’re all here with you.
Sue, thinking of you and Jasper…I just know he will do wonderfully. More prayers and good thoughts going up…Know that we are all “there” with you both. Will be anxiously awaiting your update on him.
Sue, any updates on Jasper post surgery? Our thoughts and prayers are with you both. I bet you can’t wait to pick him up
Thanks for asking about Miss Peanut. She is all back to normal today and has really taken a liking to the canned food I’ve been feeding her! She’ll look up at me when she’s done and she’ll have it all over her muzzle, even on her nose, and her tail will be wagging…she’s so funny! I hope she’s not too disappointment when we transition back to her normal kibble!
Andi, didn’t Miss Peanut have a bunch of teeth pulled? How will she eat kibble with so few teeth?
Karen, I know you asked Andi about Miss Peanut losing all those teeth.
In March my Missy lost all but 3 teeth and after she healed, she does fine. Missy is a very slow, meticulouse eater and one would think she’d have problems, but she doesn’t. Romeo lost a bunch of teeth as well, but after he healed he also does fine, Romeo is a Pug, need I say more…he gulps it down…who needs to chew.
Sue VDB, I hear that chewing is highly overrated anyway! Just ask C.J.! LOL!;-)
I was thinking today that it might be fun to get a count of all the Pugs represented on this blog. I bet it’s a lot - you can’t have just one!
Pug Hugs,
Huckle & the Swamp Pugs +1
I add C.J. and Toeby!
And by the way, they could all get by on cuteness alone!
I just have one puggy because I have two other rescue dogs, and while I really want another pug, I have to think of my age and my capabilities of handling more animals. I also have two cats.
The gang really took your words to heart - they are cuteness personified! My favorite is Henry because he looks so much like my Charlie. But its really too hard to choose a favorite. They’re all too cute!
Sue VDB - You are wise on considering age when having pets. It struck me one day that my furbabies may live longer than me and then what? I cannot imagine how hard it will be for them if so. Scary. #4 son might take them and might not but the others don’t have space or inclination. When I had just Abby, my best friend said she’d take her…now I;m not too sure. She already has three, an English Lab, a Leonburger and a Coton duTier, the first two being very, very large. They’d eat my babies. It is something to think on and plan for when you’re a senior citizen.
The rest of my message disappeared! - Georgie and Cooper2 had another dust up, it being Georgie who fearsly tore into Cooper2 for no reason other than the “Look”. A spray bottle goes with me from room to room and I have pop cans taped up with a few pennies in them to startle them apart except that I forget to use them in the heat of battle.
Cooper2 shows no sign of potty training (we now have to replace the carpets - phew - on the glorious day he ‘gets it’).He will, won’t he?
Karen, as Sue VDB said, even with loosing all those teeth, Miss Peanut will be back on regular kibble. She’s doing fine so far with the transition back. I have been wetting the kibble, just to make sure. After a couple more days, I’ll not wet it and just let her eat it normal. It has slowed her down a bit as Sue mentioned.
Huckle, I like your idea! My pugs are Annabelle (8 1/2 yr), Piper (7 yr), Marley (7ish we think, rescue), and Tessa Grace (5ish we think, rescue). And of course we always have a foster, Miss Peanut (7-8ish we think)
Hope all had a great week-end! love reading all the comments-Luna, Henry & Benny all look bored-hope they were able to get out and burn off some of the pug energy! prayers for all the puggers who are healing, undergone surgery and the ones they own who are recovering as well. Since getting Proto & Sol, I have been questioning my sanity and age-but they do add so much to life and though I have thought about putting them up for sale, I just can’t seem to do it. They are pups for a short time and these days will pass quickly. Then we can be old dogs together! Pug-hugs to all from the Colorado 5
sue s, I love your idea…Sounds great, being old pugs together!
Surprisingly, Solsey transitioned back to kibble after having half of her lower jaw removed. She became very good at moving things around in mouth and adjusted very well. She never shied away from any type of food. She would just take her time and figure out a way to chew it up.
Hey are using Wordpress for your blog platform? I’m new to the blog world but I’m trying to get started and set up my own. Do you need any coding expertise to make your own blog? Any help would be really appreciated!
