I’m a nervous wreck today, I just dropped my foster pug, Miss Peanut, off for her surgery today.  She’s having a dental (has a mouth full of rotten teeth) and if time allows, a spay today too.  Our vet is great, but I’m always a nervous nelly   Please think good thoughts for Miss Peanut.  Thanks!

Andi, sending good thoughts and prayers for a successful surgery for Miss Peanut and a quick recovery!  I’m sure she will pull through like the strong puggie she is!  Let us know how it goes!

I just love all the comments this mourning they are great can’t think of a better one I had to take Jasper my brindle boxer to the vet this mourning as he is all red around his mouth and inside his mouth hasn’t been eating to good either the vet said he has a infection in his gums so he is on antibiotics till friday then friday mourning he is going in for surgery on his gums and clean his teeth they have to cut some of the gums away from his teeth I know I am going to be a basket case at work on friday he has to stay over night won’t be able to pick him up till saturday mourning

Andi I will say a prayer and think good thoughts for Miss Peanut please let us know how she does

Sue, you are so sweet to ask, thank you.  I’m feeling pretty good…at the end of the day I’m still rather sore, but from what the docs told me, it’s gonna take a while for everything to get back to “normal” in there.  Thanks for your concern. 

I will be thinking of you and Jasper (oh how I love brindles) and sending lots of prayers up for his successful surgery and recovery.  You know we’ll be “here” to keep you company on Friday while you await the call that all is well.  It’s so hard to have them there overnight…ugh.  I will be thinking of you.  Please give him a good luck smooch from me!

Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers for Miss Peanut.  It’s 1 pm, I couldn’t stand it any more so I called to see how she’s doing.  They just started on her.  She needs a lot done today, besides the dental and possible spay, she also will have a scope into her female area (blush), she’s been having an infection and this will give us more answers, which may also tie into the spay.  She had a rough life before coming into rescue and wasn’t taken care of for a long time.  But she’s quickly learning what the good life has to offer

Sue, I’ll be thinking of you and Jasper and sending our good thoughts and prayers.  We love our fur babies so much.

Andi, any updates on Miss Peanut?

I’ve been keeping St. Francis very busy lately. Now more prayers going up, this time for Jasper. Sounds like some pretty serious stuff, but when he recovers I bet he will feel so much better.

Thanks for asking about Miss Peanut.  Just heard from the vet about 45 minutes ago.  She was in surgery for nearly 2 hours.  My poor little girl had 12 teeth pulled.  She has two areas (upper & lower) that have sutures.  The cut into her abdomen to discover she had already been spayed (sometimes you just don’t know with the rescues).  For the female stuff…I think she would kill me for posting this on the web ...the scope showed yellowish bumps past her cervix.  Uncertin if solid or fluid filled.  Our vet’s scope was only a camera, so she was not able to take a sample.  Our vet will consult with a specialist, we may need to be referred. :(  Should find out in a couple of days.  Prayers and fingers crossed for nothing bad.

oh lordy, Huckle, there have been jokes made in my family about my Abby needing dentures too, cuz she has had quite a few teeth pulled over the years, due to severe overcrowding and some baby teeth that never fell out.

Hi every one just wanted to give you a up date on Jasper the vet finally called me at 2:15 just as I was ready to head out for work Jasper was out of surgery which he said went well Jasper was awake and they gave him pain meds he is staying the night at the vets I will pick him up first thing tomorrow mourning cant wait My son called the vet for me around five to see how he was doing and they said he was in a lot of dicomfort which just made me worry all the more I will let you all know how he is doing tomorrow after I pick him up cant wait and thank you for asking it means a lot
Huckle glad you found out about Georgie and his thyroid one of my first pugs had to take those pills they are very cheap and it does help

Hi everyone I just wanted to give you a up date on Jasper I picked him up first thing this mourning and I was not prepared for what I saw he is bleeding a lot they told me he had a very bad night and mourning cause I wasn’t there so he was stressing out which caused him to bleed more I have him home resting right now he needs to stay calm and quiet so I am going to stay right near him all day hopefully he will feel better in a few days my heart is breaking for him he is one miserable baby I will make sure he gets extra tlc thank you everyone for your prayers and asking about him it really helpsone worried momma

Sue, I am so sorry to hear that Jasper is having such a rough time.  I’m sure with all the prayers, good thoughts and your love, he will begin to feel better.  We feel so helpless when our babies don’t feel well, and wish they could talk so we would know exactly what is going on with them.  I sincerely hope he turns the good corner very soon.  Hugs to your boy and to you.

sue - Thanks for the up date. When one of us hurts, the others hurt.  He’s got to be feeling 100% better before we (and you) can let out our breaths.  You’ll see improvements day by day I’m sure, even if only in small amounts.  Prayers and smooches coming your way.
