Nutro Ultra is the brand of food that poisoned my Toby. It was part of the pet food recall (China/melamine)that was found to cause renal failure. The good news is that we caught the renal failure early enough to save Toby… $3000 later, he is doing well and on a prescription kidney diet food. He needs his lab work done twice a year and has suffered some permanent kidney damage. Needless to say, I am not a fan of Nutro.

BTW… they were VERY callous in their reply/reaction to my communication with the company.

Otherwise… Luna looks like “queen of the hill”!

This is way too funny.  Luna - you’re just like my little CoCo; she loves climbing the dog food bags at her favorite pet store, Pet Supermarket.  The higher, the better!

Oooooooo, I dreamed I ate all the bags of food and I became the L A R G E S T   P U G G Y in the world. Wow, was I a CHUNK OF PUG.  My Mom couldn’t even find a Puppia Vest to fit me. Then I woke up and I was just still sitting here!  Whew! Glad that was a dream.

8 bags of doggy food 120 dollars…seeing her face when she climbed up…priceless!

Wendy in TLH.  How cool is this!  The lady is the organizer of our pug meetup in NYC.  Her name is Lin and her pug is Lenny.  And the short scoop is that before his first birthday, Lenny got hit by a car and after a number of surgeries, lost his leg.  But she was so happy to have him alive, she decided to turn the birthday party she was planning for him into a fund raiser for more unfortunate pugs.  Lin is incredible and Lenny is too, running faster than many of the pugs with 4 legs.  Now she does it every year and it’s bigger and better than ever.
