Bride & Groomer

When we adopted Luna, we knew that she had eye issues. After a few years, we finally found a routine and drop combination that works for her. However, in addition to the vet's prescribed drops, Henry has also taken it upon himself to give Luna's eyes a daily cleaning.
He gives Luna's face (and sometimes her eyeball) a thorough tongue washing each night. I used to fuss at him for it, but Luna doesn't seem to mind. In fact, she seems to like it. Some nights, I see her walk over and lay down next to Henry knowing full well that if she lays down next to him he will give her face a good cleaning.

Henry loves his sister and he is making sure Luna’s eyes are clean. He probably cleans her ears too. Isn’t it amazing how they know when a little help is needed?
Love all of the photos.
This is so sweet. Having watched Gracie walk over to Cooper and wait patiently while he figures out that she is there for service (her ears, his tongue) and that it is the only time she wants to willingly be near him, I understand brother and sister behavior somewhat although Luna and Henry are over the top and so-O sweet.
This absolutely warms my heart. I just love dogs so much. *sigh* Such a sweet, sweet post! What a great big brother to take care of his baby sister.
Both of my children are at school and I am home with only Bella! It’s been awhile since this has happened!
I’m not sure what I’m going to do!
Happy Monday everyone!
Pug Hugs to all from Bella & me

it just touches my heart as well, they are just too precious for words all my love to them both.
what a sweet brother you are Henry Luna looks so pleased
Gentle Tending. It’s so sweet to watch. I used to pug-sit for 3 other pugs (2 females, 1 male). The lone male (Cosmo) was an ear-washer extraordinaire - but only for his regular housemates. I always felt a little bad for my Bella as she watched this display of “brotherly” affection and feared she might feel left-out. I would get out a nice, warm wash cloth and wipe her ears - and told her that Cosmo would do the same if he had thumbs. Whether she bought it or not - I just couldn’t go the tongue-washing route!
This is just so precious. What a tender loving moment captured. Henry you are a super big brother and I agree Luna looks so happy. Just love this…
I agree with all the comments : ) This is so heartwarming!
Mary, you made Bella feel special, even more so had than if she’d gotten “eared” by Cosmo. I wonder if it’s only the males who do this?
Hang in there, Gina. Now is “your time” so enjoy.
How precious is that?!
Ditto-this is so sweet. Big bro lil sis and so much love. Pug hugs from Pastor Sue & the Colorado 2
Precious! That must leave Ben to be the Best Man!
My daughter’s pug, Zorro, is the ear washer. He shares the inside of the house with 1 dog and 3 cats and they all have impecably clean ears. Thanks to Z!! I so look forward to getting my email each day and seeing what your three are up to!! Blessing to all!
