Bedfellows

The pugs sleep in bed with us at night, which other than the fact that they take up so much room, works out OK most nights. My main problem with them sleeping on the bed is when they settle before I have a chance to take the throw pillows off the bed. They would much prefer if I left the throw pillows on the bed at night because they love to sleep in them. It is like rows of pug sized body pillows.
So every night it is a mad dash to get the pillows off the bed before the pugs settle, otherwise, I have to move them and I just had to disturb them when they look so cozy.
Our other bedtime issue is that little Luna hates to be moved once she has fallen asleep. She moans and groans if you even move her an inch. One day I will get a little video of her acting like the world is ending when I move her a tad so that I can get my whole body on the bed. She can be quite dramatic!

I have the same issues with my girls and the bed! Once they have snuggled down, they do not like to be disturbed…never mind that mom is barely hanging onto the side of the bed! They both like to sleep across the bed, not head to foot, so even though they are relatively small, they end up hogging the entire bed! The looks I get when I try to gently pry them from their spot are priceless!
I don’t blame him.. he looks so comfy!!
My little Lucy does the same thing. She loves to sleep on the throw pillows. She wedges herself between my head and the pillow. I often wake to a paw in the eye.
He sure looks comfy!!
Our pug is a light sleeper, the least little movement and he’s awake. Does anyone else have a light sleeper??
It’s funny…my mom used to tell me about how I’d kick her all night when I would crawl into bed with her…Now I get mine when I get a swift kick to the stomach…or face…or back…by a surprisingly strong little pug foot!!
Awwwwwwww! Is that little Henny? He looks so adorable and snuggly there.
LOL! Too cute! My Benee used to sleep in bed with me (he can’t now cause of his nerve degeneration..) But when he did (and he had stairs to get on and off the bed) he would lay sideways in the bed and kick me in the side until I moved enough for him to be comfortable!
My new guy Frankie HATES to even be touched when he’s sleeping. If you happen to even move him a smidgen he’s moaning and grunting and givin’ the evil eye!
These pugs are just too darn funny!
Yes, that is Henry in the photo. He was passed out.
I can HEAR Henry saying (with his evil eye) WHAT?!! What do YOU want? Can’t you see I’m sleeping!! And don’t EVEN THINK about moving this pillow! hehehe
I love sleeping with our pug. She’s so cute and furry and cuddly, but we only do it on special occassions or when we feel particuarly bad (like this Saturday when we’re at a conference all day and then have evening plans). I always wonder how people who sleep with their dogs have, you know, romantic escapes…. Luckily, for us little Angel can’t reach to jump up on the bed.
