A Doll, A Doll

Henry likes to snuggle up in his crate with his favorite baby doll. We got the doll for Luna, but it wasn't long before Henry commandeered it.
By how Henry is laying, however, you can tell he has never spent much time around a real baby. If so we might have to have a little talk with him about how babies need to breathe and what not.

It takes a real manly pug to snuggle with a PINK baby doll! You go Hank!!!
Oooo is there an echo in here, here, here?
Phew! I thought Henry had gone to jail. I do note that the baby isn’t the only pink thing in his “jail”. If real men can eat quiche, I guess they can also like pink.
Okay, yesterday it was Luna and Lucy with the poop eating, today it’s Henry and Pen with pink stuffed animals! Pen’s favorite toys (out of the thirty-something in the toy box) are the pink rabbit, pink pig, pink bear… My husband says he’s gay
. He wouldn’t stay in his crate like Henry is though, he can get the latch open by himself. If we want him to stay in we have to put a carabiner on as a second line of defense.
AAwww Moooommmm… Don’t let everyone see my baby!!!! Geesh, what’s a guy gotta do for some privacy?? lol
Henry you are soo cute, we love you and your baby!!
Good one Huckle gace me my morning chuckle Henry its ok to play with dolls even if they are pink
A doll for a doll. Love you sweet boy!!
He looks so content!

I’m curious what size crate you use for the pugs. My boy only sleeps in his at night. I’m not sure the size but it fits an oval size bed perfectly. He has slept in it for years but I’m wondering if as he gets older he may want to stretch out or lay sideways.
The experts claim that dogs are color blind (?) so it doesn’t matter what color their toys are…..it’s probably the material that gets their attention. The softer the better.
Mushu’s Mom: I use the 18 x 24 crate until the Pugs are appx. 6 months old then they enjoy the 21 x 30. Not too much bigger but it makes a big difference especially if they have a few toys in there and like to stretch out.
If ya ever want to hear a pug cuss, just put mine (Dolly) in a crate and lock the door.
Henry~you are adorable. I love that you love dolls. My baby boy Pip’s one and only toy was a pink pig. And he knew what his ‘piggy’ was too. We would tell him to ‘go find your piggy!” And he would.
Bella loves toys too but she doesn’t have one in particular that she likes.
Pug Hugs to all from Bella & me.
Hope everything is ok
No oug blog today, 2:08 pm, October 26th, worries me.
Sue and Heather,
I was thinking the same thing. Prayers for the OBP family!!
Me too. I was thinking maybe I just was on extra early.
Darci~Will you be going to Pug-o-Ween on Sunday? Bella and I will be working the Pug Partners booth from noon to 2:00. Stop and say hello if you are there.
I’m hoping there’s no blog post today because the OBP family is making it’s way to Atlanta for Pugfest! (And praying it’s not something bad happening!) I’ll let you guys know if we spot them there tomorrow.
Sorry for no blog today. All is well. Time got a way from me today and I never got up a post. Things will return to normal next week.
Lucy & Pen’s Mommy: I wish we were headed to Atlanta for Pugfest. We went a few years ago and had a blast! Enjoy!
Phew…thank God!!
Happy weekend now!
Corrine, thanks for letting us know. You must be having some busy tasks to keep you from posting. Hope everything goes well for you.
Annie did not have a good day Thursday. I was away from home from 6:40 am until 4:45 pm, with a short stop home for a potty break. I haven’t been away from home that long forever. When I finally got home Annie was not at the door to greet me. I called her several times and then began to panic. I began searching the house, saw the bathroom door closed, opened it and out runs Annie to the water bowl. I saw something all over the floor by the door, which at first glance thought was runny poop. I got a wad of paper towels, dampened them and began to clean and discovered they were wood slivers. Poor baby evidently panicked to get out and scratched so hard she shred the door frame and part of the door. She evidently went into the bathroom, brushed the door, causing it to partly close and jumped on it, locking herself in. All I could do was hold her. She must have been frantic, and I was not there to rescue her.
Oh Sue, poor Annie. So glad you got to her and found her. Hopefully she won’t shut the door on herself again either. Glad she is ok, and hopefully the door won’t be too bad to replace.
Oh, Sue VDB, I’m sure Annie was fine after you held her. Accidents happen- don’t make yourself feel worse. Prayers and good thoughts to you and Annie Fannie!
Corinne, I don’t think I could have spotted you guys even if you were at Pugfest-the place was crawling with pugs!!! It was fun, even though Lucy thoroughly embarassed herself by pooping on the floor :(! A nice SEPRA volunteer cleaned it up before I could even get a poopy-bag out of my purse. We bought lots of puggy stuff and yummy treats and really enjoyed watching the costume contests. The winner of the “home-made” costume contest was two cute babies wearing beds with little stuffed dolls tucked in. They were called “Night-Night, Sleep Tight, Don’t let the Bed-Pugs Bite!” Adorable!!!
Sue VDB, if there’s anything a pug can’t stand it’s a closed door. We’ve had to repair a couple of doors because I closed them behind me not realizing that one of the pugs was still in the room!
Henry looks like he’s in protection moe-nothing will harm his baby! I think Henry makes a great parent pug. Sue VDB glad Annie is ok-when our fur babies don’t respond right away-we do panic. It’s just love. pug hugs to all from pastor sue & the colorado 2(?5)
aww henry you are adorable.
