This is it! Today is the last day to submit pictures to the Owned By Pugs 2007 Calendar Photo Contest. You have until midnight tonight, so if you haven’t done so already, get your pictures submitted. Also, please don’t forget about our good friends at Compassionate Pug Rescue. They have done so many wonderful things to help needy pugs and a donation of any size will go a long way.

I grew up in a home where folks were always bringing home strays, and rescuing all sorts of critters. It was for this reason that I never thought I’d own a full bred pooch, even though there are many breeds that I like. When my husband and I decided to get our first dog he insisted on a full bred and after much deliberation we agreed on a pug. I love him, love him, love him. I love his big juicy eyes, and his wide- awake snore, and of course his fun- loving,super friendly disposition. My puglit Charlie doesn’t have a mean molicule in his soft little body, and I can’t imagine life without him. I say this to my husband Ryan and he insists that I would feel the same about any dog he brought home, and while he’s probably right. Unless a pooch in need finds his way to my door, I will always and forever, bring home pugs.

The calendar pics have been chosen and the calendars are currently being printed! An e-mail will be sent out to all those with photos in the calendar in a week or two.

This fills my heart with Joy. What a fab Mummy Peaches is. Pugs are just the best. I used to have a Husky who died at 14years old and I now have a 6 month old pug. I thought this story was just fantastic, the little face of Uono resting on his new brothers and sisters was heart warming. Dogs just have this love to give and share no matter what. We should all take a lesson from this,the world would be a better place….Heather Barrie Ontario Canada….................
