The holidays may inspire you to get in the kitchen and bake up some tasty treats. If you do keep a close eye out and make sure that your pooch does not ingest any bread dough. The ASPCA has recently spoke of the dangers of dogs ingesting bread dough. It seems that the heat of a dog or cat’s stomach causes the bread to rise. As the dough rises it fills the dog’s stomach and produces alcohol. If untreated, this can be a potentially fatal situation. So during the holiday bustle in the kitchen, be sure to keep a close eye on your furry friend and make sure they do not eat any potentially dangerous foods.

SEPRA PugFest, held the last weekend in October, raised over $23,600 for the pug rescue group. That astonishing amount is $6,000 more than the group raised in 2005 at its annual PugFest. The PugFest event was attended by approximately 1,400 people and 700 pugs! We were fortunate enough to attend the event this year and seeing so many pugs in one place is completely indescribable. So, we took plenty of pictures to share with everyone.
While the event was a huge success, the money raised will not completely cover the SEPRA veterinarian costs. To date the organization has already spent over $57,000 in getting needy pugs proper medical attention.
You can find out more about SEPRA and the pugs the group helps by visiting their website.
