Blue Gum Bandit Strikes Again

Gum

Gum

Henry enjoyed filming yesterday's stair master video because there was a smorgasbord of discarded gum off to the side of the steps. Apparently, students like to walk outside from the 2nd floor and toss their gum over the balcony. There must have been at least 20 pieces of gum hiding in the grass. At first, I thought Henry came across a random piece of gum, but as soon as I got it from his mouth, he took two steps and picked up another piece. Luckily, Henry didn't come across the gum graveyard until we were done going up and down the steps.

Leave it to Henry to stumble across such an assortment of chewed gum. If there is gum anywhere in the area, Henry will be sure to find it.

Here is a very old post about the original Blue Gum Bandit.

Have a great weekend!

Stair Masters

When we lived in Maryland, we lived in a 3 story house. So, the boys got plenty of practice going up and down steps. When we moved to Florida, our new house is on one level and there is no steps to be found. The boys rarely come across steps anymore in their daily travels.

To keep them fresh, whenever we walk past this one building that has a flight of steps running up the side, I always take them up and down just for fun. The boys do great, but at first Luna didn't know what to do. I don't think she had much step experience as a puppy. But, she has finally learned how to go up and down the steps. Going up was never much of a problem. It has always been the going down part. Luna isn't the quickest, but she gets the job done.

Cold Front

Henry

A cold front moved through the other day, so we are having what most people would consider fantastic winter weather. To Floridians, though, it is chilly.

Henry was on the couch minding his business, but I thought I would have a little fun with him and bundle him up in the blanket. He didn't care that I was covering him up. Henry is very good that way. He will let you pose or pretty much do anything you want to him. Anything, except cutting his toenails. That is where he draws the line

Enjoy the weekend!

Turkeys

Benjamin and Henry

After the long Thanksgiving weekend, the boys took a nice rest on the couch. Because the holidays can be so exhausting for a pug. You know, looking cut all the time isn't easy.

Baggage

Luna, Henry and Benjamin

I got home from a quick, weekend trip on Monday and as soon as I arrived home, the pugs were inspecting my suitcase. A lot of dogs think of the suitcase as bad news, but Benjamin, Henry & Luna view suitcases as magical treat portals. Suitcases bring yummy treats from Maryland to Florida courtesy of G-Ma.

Henry

Not the best picture and not one of Henry's finest moments, but I think it makes a pretty funny picture nonetheless. Looking forward to your captions in the comments.

5 More Minutes

Henry

Sometimes, in the morning, I am extremely jealous of the pugs. I would love to be able to lay around in bed after the alarm goes off. grin

Roll

Henry

Henry likes to lay flat out on his back soaking up the sun a lot. When he gets up it is usually a gradual process. He will roll over to his side and then from there get back on his paws.

But, my favorite, is when he gets excited and tries to roll over in one swift motion, like in the picture. He will attempt to go from flat on his back to up on his paws and ready to run in one motion. If he makes it on his feet the first time, he gets even more excited and you can be sure that he will take off and run a few circles around something because nothing gets him more fired up than flipping up and landing on his feet on the first try.

Have a good weekend!

Wise Guy

Henry

Yesterday evening, I needed to get a picture of each one of the pugs for the back cover of the calendar. The sun was quickly setting, so I was a bit rushed and this is what Henry gave me. Sitting was just a bit too much trouble for him. He just fell over, rolled on his back and was like, "will this work?"

Oh, Hank!

Have a good weekend everyone. I am planning on sending the calendar to the printer on Sunday. I should have a better estimate on when the calendars will be available for sale by the middle of next week.
