After the holidays, the pugs seemed to be filthier than ever. Benny’s face was filled with dirty wrinkles (and his lip was still taking some time to heal.) Henry’s feet smelled of old cheese doodles. And Luna, well, she is always a mess. (Not sure how she’s always the dirtiest of the bunch when she has the least amount of fur.)
So, it was bath time again. The reason this bath time was a little different was because Santa had brought the humans of the house a nice fluffy little throw rug for their bedroom. After their bathes the pugs always rip & tear through the house. While this bath time was the norm with the rip & tear routine what was different was that eventually they settled onto the new fluffy throw rug to complete their drying cycle.
At some points it even seemed like the pugs were floating on a fluffy white cloud. While they may have been little terrors in the tub, they do look like little angels in these photos.
Here’s one from the archives of Henry dressed as a Reindeer. Out of all the costumes he has ever had, I think he was the most disgruntled about this one.
Henry is not much of a beggar, but he has developed a new habit where he wants to lick the plates when we are done eating. He sits quietly while we are eating and then as soon as we finish he sits up and whines for the plates. This all started because we let him lick a tiny bit of our spaghetti plate once. ONCE! And suddenly this has become a habit. Here is trying to con us into giving him the leftover chicken.
Last Sunday afternoon we went to the beach. It had been a while since the boys and Luna had been to the beach so as soon as we got close they got very excited. Once there, the pugs ran around like crazy, running in an out of the water with sand flying from their feet.
Henry is in the lead here and is making a sharp left to avoid being pummeled by Luna and Benjamin.
Luna just loves to strut her stuff on the beach.
And one of the few moments when Benjamin was standing still.
Here we have Henry with last year’s scarecrow, a Baltimore Orioles fan (can you tell that we have not celebrated many sport victories in this house). Henry was borderline obsessed with this scarecrow. He treated the scarecrow like a real person and was always sitting at his feet and jumping up on his lap. He was pretty much begging for the scarecrow to pet him. As you can see in the picture, Henry and the scarecrow are deep into a conversation.
Hello everyone! Thanks to all that have voted for Benjamin & Henry in the PetSource Halloween Costume Contest. The boys are currently in the lead, but there is a new “Sheriff” that is catching up quick! If you have the time please drop by and vote for the boys. You can vote up to one time a day and I believe the contest runs until Halloween. After you register the first time, voting is a lot easier. The quickest way to find the boys is to sort by Most Voted. Hopefully, we will still be at the top The boys are dressed as Batman & Robin
If we win, $1,000 goes to Compassionate Pug Rescue. We would love to be able to win the money for them.
