Vicious

Sol

The other night we took the pugs to the City Center for a nice stroll around the lake.  On our way out of the house, we made our way through the laundry room and I opened the door leading to the garage.  When I opened the door, I realized that the big garage door was up.  The pugs weren’t leashed because we were headed right to the car and I didn’t think the garage door was open.  I didn’t think much of it, though.  The pugs were so excited to be going for a car ride that they were just running big circles around the car and out into the driveway waiting for me to get them buckled in.  Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a man walking down the street.  I saw him and so did the pugs.  I didn’t make a big deal out of it because I knew the pugs were so happy to be going in the car that they wouldn’t care about greeting the man walking down the street.  Sol, however, felt obligated to give him the what’s what.  She trotted over to the edge of the driveway, stood tall and let out three woofs for good measure.  The man turned and smiled and Sol stood her ground until he was past the house.  Then she turned, proud of herself, and ran to the car.

So if you are walking by the house, and Sol happens to be awake, you’ve been warned.

That is so funny!  Sol has found her forever home and villagers beware!  Trod gently near and round this wonderous abode as it has its protector Sol.  Ever on watch, standing the ready to protect and proclaim her homestead.  But alas, if someone were to approach with lets say a grilled hamburger?

How very sweet… I always stop in each morning to read the adventures (and mis-adventures) of the OBP family, it is my favorite way to began each day.  Love to you all!

Sol sure looks so peaceful and content in this picture.  It is hard to imagine her being anything but calm.  I think Laurie is right, she is protecting her forever home because it is the best thing she has ever had.  I too look forward to seeing your family every morning.  Your site seems to help me keep my day in perspective.  HUGS and KISSES

OK, this is my favorite picture of Sol.  It made me Awwwwww out loud.  Too precious for words…and I love the other comments today.

I agree that no day is complete without checking on the OBP gang.  Things feel out of sorts when I’m not able to get my morning fix.

We love you all!!!!

Pat, love the “pugtecting” comment!  My mom always said “Still waters run deep”; and it’s true with pugs too!  This is a sweet picture of Sol.  Was this after the pugtecting and the walk around the lake?  That’s hard work.

LOL.  No, I don’t believe it.  Sol doesn’t have a viscious bone in her little body.  Seriously, it is amazing how quickly she has become so comfortable in her forever home that she feels the need to express herself so valiantly.
