Adorable! Adorable! I’m totally an ‘animal person’. Pretty much everything is acceptable including laying on tables where we eat. I love, love, love this OBP community b/c no one has even ‘blinked an eye’ to the fact that a cat and a dog are on a table! Love it!
Funny story that may seem long…One of my sister’s friends was let go from her job. (this was years ago) And she stopped over at my sister’s house over my sister’s lunch hour from her work. Her friend, Theresa, was so upset she was crying and sitting at the kitchen table. My sister, Dina’s (don’t ask) yorkie Frank, was concerned so he jumped on the kitchen table and stuck his nose in Theresa’s face b/c he was worried. It didn’t even phase Dina but she realized this is not normal for most people so she had to pretend that Frank had never done this before! Oh my goodness! Frank! What are you doing on the table! Please get down! Of course Theresa didn’t care and it brought a lot of laughter at a time when Theresa needed it!
Ok…done!

Gina, I loved your story. Because it let me know that I’m not the only one who sometimes pretends to be surprised at my dog’s behavior! When I’m not with another “animal person” it’s easier than owning up to the fact that I do indeed tolerate such a thing from my dog!
Why do I get the feeling this ended with a “Mumma, she’s TOUCHING ME!!!!” moment?
