AAWWW!!! Benny & Henry youar such sun lovin’ cuties!
Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend, pug hugs to all!
This takes the cake in adorableness overload…I have a special place in my heart for brotherly pug love! Henry and Benjamin, enjoy every beam sweethearts!
Love to all the OBP extended family and here’s to a healthy weekend for all filled with lots of snorts and pug love!
Heather, Baxter, and the Mr. Cole
They are so Zen! I love your kids Corrine!
This picture is a riot. Another innovative ‘chin rest by pugs’.
Computer woes past several days so couldn’t get on OBP other than for short spurts. One day I was on phone with technical support for over 3 hours. At times I probably sounded like the village idiot but support stayed with me and got it sorted out…HAD to have a way to get my OBP fix. Another OBPer admits guilt!
Gina, glad to know that giving Pip shots wasn’t as unnerving as you thought it would be. It sounds scary to me…of course, I have Abby who I practically have to hog tie for her twice daily eye meds.
And you know, pugs are just a different for of kids - and often (like always) deserve nicer treatment (especially if you have teenagers). No, we won’t tell anyone of your confession.
Gwen - “pug dork” - ROFL
Pug Mama - continued prayers for you and Abby.
Yesterday I distributed a new batch of femur bones. Cooper took 2 (there were only 4) and hid them in the yard. Abby didn’t much care, nor did Gracie. Georgie, however, was a different matter. He managed to make off with one and took it to his bed, growling and snarling whenever Cooper came near (like across the room). Typical enough. In the evening, Georgie decided he needed to go potty - a ruse. By this time it was dark and I encouraged the other three to go tend to business before bed. They came back in but without Georgie so I called and called him. In the light of the patio light, I saw this black pug coming toward me, a prance to his step and his head held high that would do a Lippizzaner stallion proud and, a large femur bone in his mouth. I could almost hear Georgie saying “heh, heh, heh” as he looked in Cooper’s direction.
Welcome Joyce, Kaos and Heidi! As Pug Mama said, “you are now Owned by Pugs!”
Mary, I can just picture Bella thinking she got away with hiding only to be tripped up by her snorting. So cute.
Have a good weekend, kids. Northwestern Ohio is supposed to be an ideal fall weekend, hope the rest of you will have one too.
Pug hugs,
Huckle &
the Swamp Pugs.
How sweet their faces are! Since you said the picture was from last weekend, I’ll bet they were dreaming about how cute they were going to look in their Halloween costumes and how many dog biscuits they were going to rake in!!
Huckle, great story! I especially love the description of Georgie’s Lippizaner stallion prance!
I’m very glad you got your computer issues sorted out!
this is such a adorable picture of Benny and Henry it brought a friday mourning smile and loved reading Huckles post my Emma is the same way no dog dare go near her when she has her nylebone except Baxter he will walk up to her hit her with his paw then take the bone from her they are a riot
Hope everyone has a great weekend
Those two babies look like they are sleeping sitting up. Great catch Corrine.
Huckle, have you ever considered writing stories? You are a hoot. I too liked the stallion reference.
For those who are ill, may this me a healing weekend.
Classic pix! It gave me a big chuckle when it opened up! Love those guys (and Luna, too!)
Can you imagine how uncomfortable that pose would be. Corrine, did you play Scrabble on the gang’s backs?
Sue, get Baxter on video. That would be so cute. I can just picture it.
Whoa - my computer just crashed but then restarted. That was weird.
On another note, I’m glad my vignettes don’t have you ready to smack your computers and run the other way (you don’t do you?) [grin]
Oh boys, my Lilo would just love to join you. Unfortunately the weather here is not for sitting outside in the sun, but moreso, get the business done and back in.
Huckle- Lmao at your story of Cooper and Georgie. It was like i watched it all happen in my little movie viewer in my head.
Sue - also lol at Baxter and Emma, i love my pug movie player in my head
I also see Lilo use a number of inanimate objects as chin rests and think, how can that be comfortable. Ok, correct that, i usually think get you big old melon off my laptop, because that’s usually what she tries to use if she’s not in her usual spot at the end of the recliner.
Lilo has rekindled her love for her Waggin Train pork chews this week. Kind of nice to see. Especially since she will not allow me near her teeth, so chewing keeps them healthy. Now she’s tuckered out and snoozing on the couch.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone. We are hoping the snow stays away for another week up here.
Much Love and Pug Hugs for all,
Lilo n Me
Hello my old friends! Karen B, C.J. and Toeby here! Big doins’ lately!
C.J.‘s toe surgery has healed nicely and it’s not causing a limp anymore…Toeby has had a corneal abrasion/ulcer and is being treated…that was kinda scary!
Biggest scare came a week ago…Hubby had open heart surgery with triple bypass! Is on the mend and I’m doing my best to take care of him…between hubby, the pugs, and me, I could open a pharmacy!
I’ve missed y’all!
welcome back Karen Cj and Tobey glad to hear all is on the mend
Karen B, I’ve been wondering about you. Happy to hear that C.J. is doing well. Pray that Toeby heals completely.
You certainly have your hands full. Glad Hubby is on the bend.
I totally understand the caregiver part, and how difficult it is to take care of yourseof as well. My prayers go up for you as well.
Lots of hugs.
I agree with everyone, Huckle, the way you write is hilarious! You too Sue…so funny! Karen B. prayers for your hubby and pug! And you too!
Pip and I head to the vet for a check-up this morning. He is doing so good! Thank you for all the prayers! Hugs to you all!!!
Pug Hugs to you all from Gina & Pip
Gina, let us know how Pip’s vet visit went. Still praying for continuing healing.
Karen, I’m so glad to see you pop up again. Just the other day I was wondering about you and was about to ask the rest of OBP land if they had heard from you. I was hoping you hadn’t dropped off the edge of the earth. Boy have you got your hands full. I would probably get the meds mixed up and give it to the wrong person. Good luck. Glad things are looking up for you.
BTW, thank you all for the sincere compliments. I try not to take up too much space but I usually fail at that.
Gina, yea! for Pip. I’m sure he’ll have a good report. Has he gotten to a place where he runs when you bring out the needle? My gang would, at least Abby and Gracie. They would mimic a balloon with the air being let out.
See Huckle! Thats exactly what we’re talking about it! “They would mimic a balloon with the air being let out.” Hilarious!
Sue and Huckle ~ Thank you ladies. His numbers were right where they are supposed to be! Now I’m stressing b/c he won’t eat his dog food! I have to put a different kind of dog food on top to trick him. Well I told the vet this to make sure it was ok and he said we don’t really want to do that b/c the different kind of dog food is high in calorie and that isn’t good for diabetics. *sigh* Then I asked about letting him have a little bit of turkey on thanksgiving and the vet said as little as possible. *sigh* I’m just being a geek. But he hasn’t eaten his lunch yet! I’m so glad that these are the problems I’m dealing with though. A lot of people have things a lot worse than I do! Anyway! Thanks ladies!! Hugs to you all!!!
Gina, call me heartless, but I don’t give in to Romeo if it is not good for him. I am very metiulous about what and how much he eats. Hang in there, Pip will eat when he is hungry…know you’ve heard that before, but it really is true, and for their benefit. Rather that than the alternative, which is unacceptable. Also, Pipe is picking up on your stress and is sure that you will give in. Don’t, it’s not good for him.
Gina I’m actually dull as dish water but glad you enjoy. Thanks
But in another vein there was a while there that I actually fed Abby from a fork. (At least she didn’t have a place at the table!) and that got her started. After many moons she returned to eating like a normal pug. (Did I say “normal?) I give them all 1/3 of a can of Wellness can food and sprinkle the Wellness dry food and mix it up in it. They won’t eat the dry alone even as I guilt trip them by telling them how much it costs and there are poor little pugs in China who would be happy to have it.
Wayne has been terribly resistant when we ‘shout out’ to the female gender, but now we are getting more males
(and that is a good thing) and perhaps we should include them as well. Just a thought.
Sue VDB ~ You are not heartless…you are a good pug Mama with great advice. Thank you for putting things into perspective for me. I’m sure he can feel my stress. Probably b/c I’m sitting on the floor begging him to eat and trying to hand feed him. I’m not sure which gave away my desperation.
Huckle ~ definitely not dull! And you are right concerning Wayne! Hey Wayne! Holla!
Hugs to you all!!!!
