Tantrum

Benny has always been prone to throw a tantrum when he can smell that there are treats nearby and that he is not getting them. But, on Saturday morning he threw quite the tantrum over a bag of treats that always sit on the counter. The treats are biljacs and we use them to give the pugs pills. We also use them as a reward after Luna gets her inhaler.

On Saturday morning we gave Luna her inhaler and then gave all the pugs a reward for Luna doing such a great job. 3 biljacs per pug to be exact. After the pugs got their treats we zipped the bag backup up and put them on the counter. Well, Benny wanted more treats and this is the little show he put on to get more.

Poor Benny!  He is so cute…when he barks, his whole body jumps up and his ears flop!  Hope he got just one more!

Looney has the biggest, most precious smile. At one point she looks at the camera as if to say, “get a load of Baby Ben, lol.”

Benny you are too handsome for words. I definitely would have caved and gave you more treats!

Corrine you have nerves of steel-I would have caved-Daisey just wines and wines till we can’t take it, usually a minute or 2 before caving-HOWEVER you have given me strength to try and not give in. Will see how that goes! Pug hugs from Pastor Sue & the Colorado 2

There are so many things about this video to love!

Baby Benny is definately a pug who knows what he wants!  He’s working sooooo hard to commumicate that to you, Corrine.  I’m sure he must have been surprised that you were unable to ‘learn’ what he was so clearly trying to teach you!

I always love watching a pug bark when they do that little jump with it.  And I noticed Benjamin prefers to be on a mat when he barkes—probably for better traction!

And of course, I loved seeing Luna serenely sitting there, unconcerned with Benny’s efforts!

Corrine, did you cave (off camera)?  I have to admit that I would have.  He is such a little love.  But then, had you caved, Luna would have to have just one little one as well, and Henry…  Well, my treat bag would have been empty by then.

Still one of our favorite videos on YouTube. And the comments on this thread are especially funny. But one question: What happened after this video? Did you give him a biljac?? Did Benny go back to his tantrum after taking a water break, or did he finally give up?
