Take 5

Benjamin, Henry and Luna

The other night we went to the park for our evening walk. It was a gorgeous evening so the park was quite busy. There were lots of joggers, walkers, dogs and kids running about. We meandered around the small lake stopping every once in a while to talk to those who passed by. When we reached a nice shady section, we took a little break to let the pugs cool off and to give us a chance to just relax and enjoy the view.

Have a great weekend! I hope everyone has a chance to relax and enjoy the view.

What a beautiful spot for a break!  I took the boys for a walk around campus yesterday (I’m getting my Masters…had to return library books)...It’s right on the water and they loved it!  We “took five” on a grassy hill that was just newly manicured!

Corrine, I am so with you on the “file of should do more often and don’t”...and it is chock full with things in all areas of my life…when we love the activities when we do them, why oh why doesn’t the brain just activate and do them more often?  Oh yeah, for me, it must be the laziness.

Karen B - loved how you put a lable to exactly what I know you were describing (yesterday’s post)...the “roo’s”...Bax is a master at them and I love it!

Have a wonderful weekend all and give your puggas kisses from us.

Love and pug hugs, Heather, Baxter, and Cole

Awe it looks like they are setting off for the weekend. Has anyone ever attended any pug clubs or pug parties? A friend in Chicago enjoys going to pug events and from the looks of it makes me wish Florida had more events for our beloved pugs. Like for example: we can have Luau Weekend where owners serve bbq and pugs come in grass skirts, sun glasses, etc…

What a beautiful spot for the puggers.  They all look like they are thoroughly enjoying themselves, and glad you had a good time too.  I think we all need more moments like this but don’t take the time because we think we are too busy.

With this in mind, wishing everyone moments of relaxation this weekend.

Pure bliss!  And at the moment, it’s a cool 72 here in Texas, and I’m going to stop what I’m doing, harness Ben up, and take him for a walk!

Work???  Work’s gonna wait!

I am envious of your beautiful park!  What a great place to go and relax!  I bet the pugs love it too!

Heather:  Sometimes I try to get C.J. to bark just so I can hear him “roo”!  He has a quiet little bark that wouldn’t scare a fly!  I just love it, it’s so endearing!  Toeby, on the other hand, is a yapper and I don’t enjoy his bark so much!

Have a great weekend everyone!

What a beautiful view!  And the water looks nice too!  smile

Wanted to let everyone know that Charlie got his stitches out yesterday and got a good report from the vet.  His tumor was a Grade 2 BUT the vet feels pretty confident that he got all of it.  Also, his cough is much better. He is only coughing if he runs away when the other dogs in our house chase him during their sudden bursts of running like wild dogs through the house!  So he is almost back to normal.  Thanks so much everyone for your prayers and good thoughts.

And Karen, I chuckled when I read that C.J. has a quiet bark.  Charlie does also - sort of a “wuf…. wuf.”  His sister Carley will do a random bark if she hears a funny sound on the TV but then lay her head back down and ignore the whole thing. Pugs are so funny!

Heather, are you graduating this spring with your Masters?  At any rate, good for your and congratulations.  That is a lot of hard work.  I’m sure that Baxter and Cole are helping you.

Oh Paula, YAY YAY YAY!!!  This is wonderful news!!!  Pfooey (phooey?  How does one spell that?) to a “Grade 2”...Mr. Charlie is stronger than it!!!  I’ve been praying non-stop for him so now one of thanks as well!!  Charlie baby, here’s a kiss from me!  SO happy!

Sue VDB, don’t I wish.  I am, eh hem, let’s just say “the older student” genre of the program.  Long story, but it took me 15 years to complete my bachelors working days and schooling nights…Just finished my first year of the Masters last week though so I’m on my way!!!  Thanks for the kind words.  Baxter and Cole are my study buddies…although usually more of a distraction as they walk across my books and park themselves right in the middle of my papers.  LOL I’d have it no other way, of course!

So anyone have plans this weekend? I am planning to take Baby Jr. and Russel out for an adventure to Petco. Time to shop for Russel’s Birthday Present. He’ll be 1 years old this June. I guess its time to see what he likes.

Paula. so glad to hear Charlie is doing better!  Prayers going up for continued healing and recovery!

I don’t know if anyone else has noticed but there is a commercial for “Magic Jack” that sets them off every time!  They can be in a dead sleep and when this commercial comes on, there’s a little quiet “PING” that they hear and go ballistic!  It’s hilarious. That’s the only commercial they react to that I know of.  Anyone else out there notice a pattern?

And Heather, that is fabulous that you are working on your Masters.  When is the big day?
