Surgery Day

Sol

Well, today is the day. We drop Sol off for her surgery first thing this morning and we will pick her up as soon as we are allowed.

For all your support, Sol would love to give you all some kisses. A Solsey kiss goes a little something like this: she gives your face a few quick sniffs all while tickling you with her whiskers. Then she gives you a big lick, takes a step back, looks at you for a second and then promptly sneezes in your face. Every. Time.

I will post updates as soon as I know something.

i AM PRAYING FOR LITTLE SOLSEY AS HARD AS I CAN AND BUDDY IS TAKING A LONG NAP FOR HER SO HE CAN DAY DREAM AND SAY HIS PRAYERS AS WELL. We call those non-licking kisses, walrus kisses. And yes, a sneeze frequently follows, though not always, and sometimes they politely turn their head. lol

I just know things will turn out fine for Sol and she’ll be soaking up the love at home real soon. I’m praying for Sol AND her mommy and daddy. After all, it may be harder on them, seeing their baby in pain.

Thank you everyone for the well wishes! I snapped this pic after our walk last night. Sol was very happy to get out for a little walk and it was the perfect way to help me relax.

I have posted an update of today’s adventure on the blog, but to make a long story short, surgery today was cancelled. Sol developed a pretty bad cough over the weekend and this morning the vet determined it would be best to hold off on surgery while we figure out what is causing her cough. Ugh.

Thanks again for the well wishes, I don’t know what I would do without all your support.
