Super Henry

Henry diving into the pool

Henry swam so much this weekend, that I am expecting him to sleep for at least the next few days. It was quite hot this weekend, so we were in and out of the pool on both Saturday and Sunday to cool off after working in the yard, cutting grass, etc. Henry played a marathon game of fetch on Saturday and was back at it again on Sunday.

He was in rare form on Saturday and insisted on diving into the pool each time.

It is really fun to watch Henry jump into the pool, but what is even funnier to watch is Benjamin & Luna. They get very worked up when Henry leaps in from the side. They prefer him to go to the first step and then just shove off from there. They feel that is much safer. When Henry is getting read to jump in from the side, Benjamin & Luna are nervous bundles of energy pacing back and forth all while keeping a close eye on Henry.

Luna even goes as far as trying to bite Henry's ankles on his way in.

And where is Sol during all of this? She is staying cool in the shady lanai, shaking her head, saying "Kids!"

That first pic is one of The Best ever!!!  Oh Henry, you just look like you are having a total blast!!!  And what caring bro and sis to be nervous about your Super Pug antics!  I am so jealous of your frolicking by the pool…someday the boys and I are headed to sunnier pastures, I do believe!

All these pictures are great!  I love the first on where Henry is mid-air.  It’s funny how Benny and Luna worry about their brother jumping in smile  Great post…wonderful way to start a Monday.

What a fun weekend.  That is a funny story.  I love how you captured Benjamin and Luna, especially Luna biting Henry’s ankle - LOL. Henry was in prime shape with his dives. And Sol, she is one smart cookie.

Love the pictures. Hind leg grabbing must be a universal pug thing as mine do it to each other all the time. When they’re outside they like to hide in the flowers, bushes, etc. and ambush each other with the hide leg or any body part grab. Spanky and I just sit on the patio and get our pug intertainment.

That first pic is my FAVORITE EVER!  I absolutely love it!!

And now that I’m convinced how important it is for Bennie to experience this, could you all help me explain to my husband why it’s necessary for us to put in a swimming pool?

oh that last photo, is Luna trying to keep Henry from diving in, or is she doing the age-old, little sis pushing big bro into the pool???  Hmmm, I think we need to review the tape!
And as for Sol?  Smart cookie! Stay cool little one…

That is too funny and reminds me I need to take mine out to my grandma’s to go swimming lol. We finally got Gus in the pool last summer.

I love Luna biting Henry’s ankles, Indy does that to Gus when he does something she doesn’t like lol
