Super Duper Trooper

Henry

I am happy to report that Henry did wonderful this weekend! I worked from home on Friday and Henry got some much needed rest. He didn't sleep quite as well as he normally does on the first night home from surgery. I think the biggest problem was getting used to the cone. But, by Friday afternoon, he was doing a lot better managing the satellite dish around his neck and was able to get a bit more comfortable.

Henry

In true Henry style, he also coaxed me into spending some time outside with him on Friday. His thinking was that sunshine is the best medicine. I don't know about that, but I was happy to see him wanting to do the things that he enjoys.

Henry

On Saturday morning, we noticed that a lot of the swelling in his eye had subsided. By Sunday, some of the redness was also fading. Overall, I think he is healing very well. He has taken it all in stride.

Benjamin and Luna are also taking it very well. Ever since Henry came home last Thursday, he has been a one man wrecking crew with his cone. He has been bumping the cone into Benny and Luna all weekend. They have been very patient with Henry even though there have been times he has almost bowled them over with his cone of shame.

Glad to hear things are going ok Henry.  That darn cone thing is a small inconvience, isn’t it?  Good to see you rested and enjoyed some sunshine!  xo

Glad to hear Henry is doing well and healing. And to have such patient siblings-despite the bumps. Continued prayers for healing and getting back to normal. Pug hugs from pastor sue & the Colorado 2

So happy his recovery is going well.  Hopefully he won’t have to wear the cone of shame for much longer.

Sweet Henry, you really are a super duper trooper, and it certainly doesn’t hurt the people you own are so loving and caring.

Hugs and kisses to Benny and Looney for their patience, but that’s because they know you’ve been through a lot, and they love you.

Once you get rid of that cos I know that too will make o feel better.  That has to be irritating to carry that rock around.

Annie would definitely give you kisses if she saw you. I would smother you with kisses as well.

I am so happy for the update.  The pictures let me “see for myself” that he’s doing well.  I am so impressed with what a trooper he is!  That cone sure would be hard to get used to, but smart boy that he is, I know he’s doing well.  And more to the point, I think he’ll do very well getting used to having one eye.

God bless Henry for being such a trooper, and Luna and Benjamin for being the sweet, helpful dogs they are!

I am so glad to hear Henry is doing better.  Thought about him over the weekend and I just had the feeling he was doing so good. He has the best family support system a little pug could have.

I’m so glad Henry is home and healing well. I’m sure everyone will feel better when the cone is gone.
