Sol’s Photo Timeline

In the comments of yesterday’s blog post, Linda had the idea to post a few before and after pictures of Sol.  Sol has most definitely been through a lot since she has been with us and much to my surprise she has only been with us for a little over three months.  It seems much, much longer than that! (And I mean that in the nicest way.)  So, I went through the photos and picked a picture of Sol for each month she has been a part of the OBP pack.

December 2008

Sol came to us on December 29, 2009.  There wasn’t much time left in the month, but we did get a few pictures of her when she first arrived.  This photo was taken on her 2nd day with us.

January 2009

This picture was taken on January 4, 2009 after Sol had a few more days of OBP livin’ under her belt.

February 2009

This picture was taken on February 24, 2009.  At this point we knew about Sol’s cancer.  Nine days later she would have a mandibulectomy to remove the tumor from her mouth.

March 2009

This picture was taken on March 6, 2009.  Sol had surgery on the 5th and we were able to bring her home the next evening.  Hard to believe she had part of her jaw removed the day before.

The next picture was taken on March 20, 2009.  Just a few weeks after her surgery and Sol has adjusted perfectly.

Taken on April 6, 2009, Sol is sprawled out doing what Sol does best - keeping a close eye on me while I’m in the kitchen.

Asides, from the jaw surgery, nothing much has changed physcially with her.  However, you can see a big difference in her eyes.  She is so much happier and relaxed as the photos go on.  I am so happy she has a wonderful forever home!

Sol has gone from a lost little soul to a bright shining star.  All the credit goes to her new Mom and Dad.  We have all said all along how she has changed and these progressive pictures have proved it.

I said it once before. It was no accident that Sol came to be with your family. She is
very fortunate. Such a little doll.

It’s so true:  “A picture is worth a thousand words!”

Sol has blossomed and become a beautiful little flower!  So precious…Just goes to show that no animal is too lost to save!

Kudos and gratitude to you OBP for your willing and loving hearts!

She looks so much better and happier.  There is a special place in heaven for people that are kind to animals.

Hey, all you wonderful folks and pugs in OBP land.  (Is that a little too gushy?) lol

Anyway, I’m at my sister’s in GA again helping with my father and have been out of touch with you guys, but it doesn’t mean I don’t love you! (still too much?)

seriously, I just wanted to ask everyone to cast a quick vote for Biscuit and Rascal at the following link at the NY Daily.  You won’t need to sign up for anything, just click.

Btw, I scrolled through the blog photos but didn’t have time to read all the stories.  At least that much made me smile.  Oh and Corinne, post as many pics as you like of Sol in her backpack.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter/Passover, which ever is appropriate.

Thank you for sharing these pictures.  You can certainly see a change in her for the better. She has come alive. What a beautiful little girl. Of course there are only beautiful pugs. Over the years, I have had 5 pugs and love them dearly.

You can just see it in the pictures that Sol quickly knew she found a safe, loving home.  She has no worries at all!  What a precious little girl!

One thing I notice is her ears - in the earlier photos her ears were laid down and limp. But in the later photos her ears are perkier. Even tho she doesn’t hear very well/at all I think we can still tell by her ears that she is a very happy and well cared for little lady grin

Thank you !  this is a real sign of her progress.  You should feel so proud that you made this change happen grin  What a great story just like Luna.

I swear, as the pics progress, this dignified Lady Sol does look like she’s smiling more in each picture.

She seems to be the happiest pug i’ve ever seen, and that’s saying a lot. i’ve seen some pretty happy pugs and some pretty depressed pugs.
