Sol’s Big Adventure

Sol

On Saturday CFPR was holding an event at a flea market very close to the house. Having not seen the good folks at CFPR for awhile we made a point to stop by and say hello. Knowing the the flea market is always very crowded and is not technically a place where dogs are allowed, we opted just to bring Sol with us.

Now this made Baby Benny a little nervous because word on the street was that there would be pugkin bread at the event and he wasn't quite sure if he could trust Sol to procure the tasty bread and bring it back home to him. It was a tough mission, but Sol chose to accept it.

So we ventured off with Miss Sol while the others stayed at home. Sol throughly enjoyed the short car ride and was very excited when we arrived at our destination. We tucked her in her pouch and we were off. We found the CFPR booth and Sol got to meet all of the great people at CFPR.

Ann was there and wouldn't you know she had stashed away a whole bag full of pugkin bread pupcakes! They were little individual sized pugkin bread bites! Sol also got to meet Julia, Ann's pug that was also hanging out in her pouch.

We talked for awhile and then it was time to return the pugkin bread loot to Benny at home. Benjamin was quite pleased with Sol's score, although he was not very happy to see me loading the freezer with some of the extra pugkin bread pupcakes.

You can tell in the first pictue that Sol is excited to be going on her own adventure.  And, what an adorable picture of Sol greeting Julia.  I absolutely love it.

I can only imagine what a treat it was for Sol to receive this one-on-one attention.

Benny, everything worked out well in your favor and Mom is saving pugkin bread cupcakes for a later treat.

Here it is Monday-back to work-great Monday story! Made my day! Where is the pugkin bread/cup-cake recipe? Beauty and Daisey keep asking for them, must be a Puggie/Boston communication thing!

What a great adventure for Sol. She looks like it was fun meeting other pugs. Of course getting pugkin bread really made it a fun time.

Sol:  “What is that I smell on your breath?  Julia, do not hold out on me! Share the pugkin pupcakes.”

Sol is adorable as usual. I think she’s become the little star of your site! smile

Oh, and where did you get the pouch that you put Sol in? I could totally use one of those for my Ruki. She gets tired so quick.

What a fun time!!!

Sol: You did a great job on your mission!  Congratulations!

Baby Benny:  Don’t worry.  You’ll be very glad Mom froze some pugkin bread whenever she decides to get it out.

Luna and Henry:  How nice for you both, too.  No worries, just pugkin bread!!

Sol is such a cutie.. I love that she got to go on her own adventure…
I love that pic of her getting to know the other pug!! sooo precious.

I SO wish I had the means to adopt some rescue pugs.. But I guess taking care of my current pugs is just as good… Right?

I’m sure Miss Solly felt very special getting to go on her own adventure.  I bet the other pugs were green with envy but they did get pugkin bread which should be some consolation!

What a great adventure for Miss Sol!!!  I love it.  The pictures are great too, but is there ever really not a great picture of Sol???  She is so precious.

Benny, Henry, and little Luna we’re probably in heaven with the pugkin bread!

I love these pugs & learning about their activities each day!!  They are such a highlight each morning.  I grab my blackberry first thing the morning to see whats new @ OBP!!
What is pugkin bread?  I have two pugs who are just dying to know!! And where did you get that pouch?  My boy pug is older & would really benefit from something like that!!

Sol is a brave little pug for accepting such a treacherous mission.  However, the rewards reaped were worth the extremely hazardous effort put out on her part.  Kudos to you, Sol!  Benny, Henry and Luna will be indebted to you forever.
I’ve been absent from OBP for several weeks and have been missing my extended pug family.  We just finished moving to a lovely home with a HUGE backyard (pix soon) and Rocky, Adrian and Gulliver are in “Pug Heaven” with all the new smells and territory to cover.

Oh I love this…a special adventure for Sol!  I was without computer yesterday and felt “off” all day without OBP!  Great job on the pupcake acquisition Sol…you did right by your gang!!
