So Spoiled

Henry has never been much of a barker. He would give a woo woo woo when he was giving you some attitude or share a bit of barky excitement when arriving at a new location or coming back home from an outing. But as far as giving a bark to get fed or to be let out to go potty, he's always been the strong silent type.

With his no longer newly found blindness, he has learned how to make his voice work for him. In this video, you see him bordering on throwing a temper tantrum for the freshly grilled steaks under the foil. With his IBD/low protein level issues, he is not even allowed to have one small bite, poor kid. His nose, though, without sight from his eyes, makes up for his other senses. So, whenever there is an overflow of yummy smells, he tends to loose his mind a little bit. And that is what the tantrum shows. He has mastered using his voice and really wants some steak!

Sorry H, sweetie, your colon says otherwise. :(

First of all, I love his little voice.  He’s trying to be good but it’s steak!  He is also so well behaved.  One or two of ours would have devoured the meat in seconds…

But,but, it is so close.  You’re eating it, why can’t I?  Maybe it needs to be moved further away.  The smell might still be there, just not as close.

Henry, it is tough not to be able to eat whatever you want, but you heed to stay around. Your peeps love you and are being strong for your health.  Your OBP fans love you and want to see you for a long time.  ♥

Aww, poor Henry!  It’s obviously a mixed blessing that his sniffer still works so well!

Poor Henry…it must be torture for him to smell that steak and not be able to eat any of it…:( I can’t believe he sat there the whole time…if that had been Vito he would have jumped up on the table and had at the steak in a hot second!!!

Oh Henry you know your peeps would love to share but know this isn’t good for you. Must say Henry’s boo-hoo is so much more mellower than Daisey’s high pitched whine-and she never gives up! Considering ear plugs. Pug hugs from pastor sue & the Colorado 2

Sweet little Henry. That is a very subdued little bark compared to Genevieve’s ear piercing cry. She can really carry on if she thinks the need arises.

I love Henry’s voice, too!  Surely he got some sort of nibble of Henry-approved treat!

I wish Pink and Jade’s tantrums were this quiet!  Jade, my 12 year old, black love pug, who is half blind and all deaf, has taken to barking when she is in her “pug room” a room we put the pugs during dinner and for quiet time.  It’s cordoned off with a gate and when she sees us, she barks.  When she sees Alex, the Norwegian Elk Hound, she barks.  When she THINKS she sees something, she barks.  *sigh*  good thing I love her!
