Snuggling

Luna

Little Luna loves to snuggle. She is also a heat brick. I have no idea how she puts off as much heat as she does, but she sure is great to have around on chilly nights.

LUNA: You just epitomize “snuggling” in this picture.  I’d love some lap time w/you as well.  While my Bella is indeed a “lap dog”, she hasn’t really snuggled or cuddled since she was a puppy.

You also take a WONDERFUL picture.  I’ll be using this as a background screen saver on my computer.  You bet’cha!!

Awwww, Luna looks so precious and perfectly snuggled.  Room for me pretty girl??

Sue VDB:  Waiting is the worst, but I know you are thrilled to have your sweet Romeo back at home.  I know he’s not the kissing type, but steal one for me and give him an extra squeeze or three from me, Baxter, and Cole.  Prayers and thoughts are still going up for “our” Romeo!!

Sue VDB:  I just sent of love-prayer to you and Romeo -but was on yesterday’s blog page.  So will just reinforce everyone’s wishes for Romeo and your family.  We are all praying for good news and a fast cure for Romeo.  We all know how very stressful and scary it is to have a sick family member.  And we have so much heart investment in our puppies (and our birds and cats).  They depend on us so much for their care and well-being.
Tell Romeo we are all thinking of him and waiting for him to be all better very soon!

I’m guessing “not so much” on warm summer evenings! Mine are little heaters too and it doesn’t seem to bother them that the lap they are laying on is getting sweaty from the heat they’re producing!

Oh Looney Tunes…..You are adorable. My Pip is a snuggler too but doesn’t give off heat. You look beautiful in the picture. Many smooches on your sweet little head.

Still praying SueVDB!!!

Pug Hugs to all from Gina & Pip!

what a beautiful picture of Luna my gang like to snuggle up as close as they can get to me all six of them which creates a lot of heat

“Heat brick” describes Toeby perfectly…Shouldn’t it be called “puggling” though?

Karen B, from now on I will think of it as puggling.  Romeo snuggles very closely (except for lately) and when he crawls on my lap he can put out the heat.  Lucy and Pen’s Mommy, you are right, the fact I am burning up doesn’t seem to bother Romeo in the least.

I sent out a request to Pug Prayerz on facebook for Romeo, and received many lovely responses there as well.

Late posting today, after last night’s storm power was out from 1 am to 8 am, then it went off again at 9 am, and at 10:45 am back on again.  The good thing is the storms really cooled the air, so my house maintained temperature until the power came back on and then the temperature started to heat up some.  If the power had remained off much longer the second time I was going to gather up the babies and have them boarded for the rest of the day, especially Romeo, because as you know, pugs cannot tolerate heat.

Everyone who is dealing with hot temperatures, stay cool, those dealing with cold temperatures, stay warm.

Luna I love having a warm pug near when the air is cool. GiGi makes a great HOT puggies heater a;sp.

Our “NEW 92-year old home is almost ready for me and the rest of our doggie family. Front fence needs to be put up then home we go!!!

Corrine, I’ve said it before several times - I want your camera.  The close-up pictures are amazing.  What a talent you have.  And Luna, no one should be allowed to be that cute.  Smmmmmmmmmmmmoch.  Boy, if only we could snuggle like Looney Tunes.

Heat, hmmm.  That’s kinda like that bred in countries south of US who breed a certain kind of hairless dog which they also use to get warm.

Hellen, are you excited by your new home.  Glad things are working out for you.

Mary, that was a lovely post and said so much.  I’m sure Sue VDB was helped by it.

Mary Castagnoli, I sincerely apologize for not acknowledging your lovely post.  I really need to get my act together.  There has been so much going on in the Van De Berghe household this week and I have my brain whirling, but there is no excuse for bad manners. Huckle, thanks for reminding me.

Heather and Gina, thank you.

I can’t wait until tomorrow (I think) to talk with Jim.  There is no cure for Cushing’s, it can be treated but there could be a price to pay for that, and the best course of action may be to do nothing except treat the side effects such as hypothyroidis and perhals diabetes if he does indeed have that. I hate the idea of giving me toxic meds, but it may also be the action needed to take care of all the symptoms he has been displaying.  Just a lot to absorb and a lot to think about.  Prayers will help and guide me on a course of action.  Pug hugs to all from my main squeeze Romeo and from me.  Sue VDB

When my feet are cold, there is nothing like a warm squishy pug to put them under wink.

I wanna snuggle too!

Dear Sue - devastated about Romeo, have you looked at alternative medication, I find that so many human herbal remedies work so well with my pugs, Please look into this. Do you get papino’s / paw-paws [a large yellow fruit used sliced with lemon juice for breakfast or cut up into a fruit salad for pudding] If you do, dry the seeds and grind [pepper mill] onto Romeo’s food, there is an antioxidant in there that helps control diabetes
Pug hugs and lots of pug prayers
