Sleepy Ben

Benjamin

I think someone has a case of the Mondays.

It's so tough for Benny to drag himself out of bed when he has such a big day ahead. He has to wake up before sunrise, go outside and go potty and beg for some of the humans' breakfast all before he gets to take his first nap on the couch.

Then after he naps for a few hours he has to wake up, go potty again, visit with Grammy and get some lunch before he gets to take another nap.

Then Benny gets a few more hours of rest before the humans come home. Once they get home he needs to supervise dinner preparation and eating and can you believe they will make him go potty again.

What a day!

Benjamin

I love that he sleeps with his head on the pillow!

I hope Benny isn’t expected to fluff up his pillows in between the naps.  I mean, like, after all…sheesh.

Corrine, have the thyroid meds made any difference in Benny’s behavior?

sue, you asked about Cooper’s behavior.  He’s been good by default.  He hasn’t eaten any outdoor cushions (we have none left), we’ll skirt the potty issue.  His “good” behavior has come about, we think, with the addition of Taco Breath.  One exceptionally large Boxer, one small Chihuahua, one toy to play with equals hours of fun as he swings Taco Breath dangling from the end of the toy and she somehow manages to scream a high pitched, “I’m being murdered” sound all the while she hangs on. It’s a match made in heaven and the Pugs just look at them with eye rolls and shrugs and a chorus of “Whatever…”.

Sue VDB, how is Minnie doing?

Benny, it sounds like you have a full schedule and need all the rest you can get before you have to get ready for your job as dinner supervisor.
The photo is wonderful.

Dream on, little Ben.  Monday’s are hard for most of us and you make that pillow look awfully good.  If I wasn’t already at work - I’d be sorely tempted to crawl back in my own bed.
HUCKLE:  So you have a Cooper-boxer, Abby and Georgie-pugs and a TacoBreath Chihuahua - have I missed anyone?  Seems like there were 3 pugs.  What about horses and cats and parakeets?  Sounds like a lot of fun at your house.  I wouldn’t need (or have time to watch) tv!!

That is pure relaxation on Benny’s part, and he looks so adorable doing it.

I have this image of Cooper and Taco Breath in my mind, and I don’t know whether to laugh or just shake my head.  That has to be a great source of entertainment.

Minnie is holding her own.  Her hind legs will never be normal again, but she’s not slipping and not falling, so that is good.  Her acupunture treatments are now three weeks apart.  The goal is for a month, an after that as needed.

CORRINE/SUE:  I tried to send something through Friday and today as well.  Haven’t tried on today’s pug picture of the day - with the 3 pugs in a basket, however so may give that a shot.

What a sweet sleeping-face he has!  Makes me want to give him a kiss!

Huckle, you described the scene with Cooper and Taco Breath so well, I feel like I’ve seen a video of it!  They’re an unlikely duo, and I’m glad they have each other!  I’m glad Cooper is good, even if by default!

Oh Benny you look so hug-up-to-able!  I just want to crawl into bed with you and cuddle you, you sweetie pie!
I’ll bet if this had been a video, we’d have snoring sound effects, too, eh?

Benny you and Dakata could be twins when it comes to sleeping! Pillows seem to be just the thing for beautiful pugs to rest…and why not….everything belongs to them and they have so much to do to keep us hummans in line!

Ben move over, I’m coming back in!  Sleighbelle never slept with her head elevated until that last several months.  I’m guessing at her advanced age
(14 on 10-26-12)it might help with her breathing.  Or she’s trying to keep the wrinkles down to a minimum, or she’s trying to not be all puffy and swollen.  Or maybe she just likes it.  Maybe I’ve had too much coffee today…

I think Mr. Ben thinks of himself as “person-size” - as I usually don’t see smaller dogs put just their heads on pillows - more often it’s the larger dogs who do.
Wish Bella would do so - but she likes to park her butt on my pillow in the mornings after I’ve gotten up to take my shower.  I just give it an extra fluff and turn it over.

Mary, Gina is right.  Gracie and Georgie are the two black, rescue pugs (breeding pair - grrrrr) and Abby is a fawn.  We used to have mice, rats, a squirrel…shall I go on…? [don’t worry, i won’t]  Funny picture of you just “fluffing” the pillow.  Ahh, we Pug people!

Sue states, ‘hover’, eh?  You mean Solsie hovers over Daisey, or just over the treat?  We have Gracie lurking in the background waiting to rush in for a treat that might drop.  Is that what you mean?  Or is she levitating? wink
