Reflections

Henry

We had the luxury of observing an awesome sunset at Reed Canal Park recently. We took several photos, but one of the photos, especially, captured what seemed to be a beautiful moment. It seems that Henry is just overlooking the lake, taking in the smells and reflecting on how far he has come in the last year.

This time last year he was in the middle of chemotherapy and not responding to it very well at all. Now he is strong. He's taking walks. He's eating, Enjoying car rides with his head out the window. Sometimes it's nice to just look back and see how far we've all come. With that also comes appreciation. We have appreciated you all for your kind words and overall support. There have been days when reading the comments has literally been what kept us going. So thank you for filling our tanks with the gas we have needed to keep the fuel burning to help our last pug standing be all that he can be. #Here'sToHenry and #Here'sToTheReadersToo #HenryStrong

I think we all feel like one big family here and we are always here to help and support each other I think Henry has come so far in this last year

aaawww!!!  Warms my heart, but I think Henry and his peeps are family to me… in my thoughts and prayers.
Although we’ve never met, the bond is strong, as we care about everyone that posts on this blog.

This is a beautiful picture of serene Henry with a fantastic sunset.

Support is a marvelous thing.  I personally appreciate the support you have given me with Romeo and with my own medical issues. It has meant a lot. 

We have supported each other in the illnesses and losses of our own.  We are family, even if we have never met in person.

How could we, as a family, not support you with all the tragedies you have experienced?  I’m sure we all have been devastated by Henry’s problems, the loss of Baby Benny and Looney Tunes.  While we have supported you, you are the ones living the tragedies, and it is a testament to your strength, determination, courage and compassion.

Kudos to OBP and OBPers.

As I read this, I took a deep sigh of gratitude.  I am so appreciative and in awe of Henry and his fortitude through all the many hard days.

I’m glad that one of the things that has helped Henry’s peeps have been the comments made here.  That is sweet to know, and I have so often felt moved by other readers comments as well ♥

Hard to believe social media could ever be so meaningful for people; in our case, pug lovers. For me, I am currently pugless; a terrible state! Henry fills some of that void. Thank you for letting us into your lives and sharing your sweetie.
