Pugkin Bread from Ann

Pugkin Bread from Ann

When we arrived at the Sock Hop, Ann greeted us with a very special bag.  The bag had a loaf of pugkin bread for each one of the pugs!  When we got home from the Sock Hop on Saturday night Benjamin was very anxious to get a piece of Ann’s special pugkin bread.  So we set them up in the living room each with their own loaf.  The silly pugs thought I was going to let them eat the whole thing!  I snapped a few pictures and then we broke off a few pieces for them.  We did the same thing on Sunday and Monday night too!  The pugs are in heaven!  The best thing is the pugkin bread is very diet friendly for the pugs.  It is made with whole wheat flour and uses applesauce instead of sugar.

Thank you, Ann!  You are so very kind and thoughtful!

This picture should be blown up, framed and put in your kitchen!  Ha, I love it.  Luna is looking like, “Oh my gosh…can this truly be happening…a whole loaf for me?!?!”

John bought my a pugkin muffin last week and I thought of your gang all the while scarfing it down (my boys were no where in sight or I would have shared)...They know a good thing when they have it…Yum!

Ready, Set, Go!  Heehee!!  They look like they are raring to get at the loaves in front of them!

and yes, Luna does look like it really can’t be happening!!

Luna might also be wondering why she has to wait so long to wrap her little mouth around a piece of that pugkin bread.  A very adorable picture, and I agree with Heather about blowing up this picture and putting it in your kitchen.

I like how Luna is pushing the boundaries—she sees no actual need to “sit.”  I know you got her after you got the boys—but where does she fall compared to them age-wise?  With her petite size she looks like the “little sister.”

Cute, lucky lucky pugs!

GREAT picture!  Also, I’d love it if someone would share a recipe for the “pugkin” bread.  My little Molly has never had it and I’d love to make it for her to try.

I think many/most of us suspected that the gift from Ann was pumpkin bread.  The way you teased us by putting off revealing the story made me almost as eager as the pugs to “get to it”.  That was very sweet of Ann to do that.  She obviously knows deserving pugs when she sees them. grin

I also, love the pic and the way Luna is standing.  It amazes me the way they are trained.  Our guys would have snatched the bread before I could get my hands off of it.

That is a precious picture! I love the looks on their faces! Especially Luna! Christmas cam early!!!

I agree that you should frame and hang it in the kitchen, very appropriate! smile

Stacey, you have 6 pugs?  What a houseful!  How do you ever get anything done?  I have one and I spend waaay too much time messing with her!  I’d never get out of my jammies if I had six!

Pugkin Bread recipe coming tomorrow!  I have to go home tonight and work it out…I’m one of those cooks who rarely uses a written recipe…I just make things the way I saw my Granny do it!  Benny, Henry and Luna…especially Luna…you made my day!

Stacey, you must have tons of energy.  If your 6 are anything like the pugs I’ve had, they are not content when you are sitting until they are snuggled up next to you.  What a pughousehold!

Ann you’re a dear! Thank you so much for working out that recipe for us!!

I absolutely adore my 6 puggies! They do keep me active and busy - nail clipping and teeth brushing is quite the chore! - but they’re all wonderful babies who love me back even more. I’ve posted a photo to share with everyone. My husband says we now qualify as a Pug Ranch - YeeHaw!
