Pillows Not Included

Benjamin

Benny is trying out a new chair we bought to enjoy those lazy FL summer evenings. He likes it, but in true Benny fashion, thinks it could use a few pillows.

Way to look, Benny.  I’m with you, though:  cushions/pillows are always nicer.  You’re a very sweet boy, you are.

Benny, blue is a good color for you, but I agree with everyone…. you need a pillow or two. Since you are the King of pillows perhaps you are trying out the chair and then you will tell Mom just what size pillow (s) to buy?

Benny handsome as ever I love the color of the chair but it does need a pillow

I’m hoping, Benny, that there will be pillows before the weekend.  You look very handsome trying out the pretty new chair, but pillows for you are definitely a must.  You look nekked without them.

I had a big scare Monday afternoon.  Annie was extremely lethargic, and did not want to move.  Usually when I call her, she bounces over to me with her wiggly butt, but this time did not move, and was trembling.

This was almost 4 pm, and I picked her up and decided to take her to the emergency vet vs. the regular vet, because I am sure they would have transferred her over there when the office closed.

The inital exam didn’t reveal much, even though her breathing was a little abnormal, she was making guttural sounds, and she wqs trembling.  They put her in intnsive care and told me to call.

At 6 pm I called and was told the blood work gave no indication of anything wrong.  They took 3 radiographs which revealed nothing.  They told me her mental capaciy was not very good and that scared me to pieces.

I emailed my friends and asked them to pray for Annie, and placed a call to Martha as she kept Annie for me until it was time to take her to her ride home.  She prayed for Annie and me, which relaxed me.

At 10 pm I called again and was told she was wagging her tail when they spoke with her, and was alert, and seemed restless.  I was able to sleep that night.

6 am Tuesday morning they said she was active, and when the specialist vet came in, she would examine her and give me a call.

Because there was a concern about a liver shunt I authorized them to do the blood tests necessary.  Also there was some discharge from her ears, but they did not go so far as to say it was an infection.

At 4 pm I picked up Annie and we enjoyed a very joyful reunion.  There still is no diagnosis as to what went wrong, so last night even though she was Annie Fannie, I practically hovered over her.  She was, however,  very tired last night and slept hard.

This morning she did her usual silly morning routine, but she is sound asleep again.  Please pray for my Annie Fannie that whatever happened does not happen again.

Martha, thank you for your prayers.  Prayer is powerful.

Cute, cute, cute!!!

It definately needs many pillows, though.  And please make them extra soft and comfy because the pugs loooove cushy seats!

Hello Sue VDB:
So sorry to hear about little Annie and you are both in my prayers. Sometimes these darling Pugs of ours act strange for no reasons at all. It is almost as though they take off and go to another planet then come back a bit later. Good that you had her checked out thoroughly though. You are an excellent Pug Mama and Annie is very lucky to have you.

SUE VDB:  You are BOTH in my thoughts and prayers.  How frightening that must’ve been - but will not, I fervently hope, reoccur.
Please, St. Francis - pay extra close attention to little A-Fay.  Keep her healthy and feeling spry and keep her mommy, Sue’s worries at bay.

Benny the chair is just the right beautiful shade of blue for you! Be sure a pillow is tied tight to the chair are you may end up a Puggie on the patio!!

Sue hope your baby will be checked out as nothing wrong! Our babies can really worry us sometimes!

Perfect color for him, a perfect pug.

Sue VDB, I will pray very hard for Annie and for you.  It sounds like she’s rallied somewhat.  Could it have been a reaction to something that stung or bit her?  An allergic reaction?  I didn’t get on here until late but echo all the previous posts.  Oh what you must be going through. Let us know whenever you find out, or if just need to connect with OBPers.
