Such sad news today. Sue VDB’s Romeo went to the bridge Sat. around 5:00 (I think) She was able to hold him till the meds took affect. I know everybody will be thinking of her today.
Here’s an entry from Sue VBD on Facebook, “At 5:07 p.m. today, while holding Romeo, I let him rest. He fought so hard to live, but it was for me, and I couldn’[t let him do that anymore. RIP my sweet, sweet Romeo. I love you so much. I want to thank everyone for their prayers, their thoughts and their love.”
Looks like Henry is not ready to get up yet just a few more winks mom
Sue VDB thinkinging of you
oh your so comfy a pug of leisure lol.
Prayers for you Sue VDB, I know how difficult this is as I did the same for our dear sweet Buttons. Holding Romeo and giving him the greatest gift of love-peace-is the most unselfish, unconditional gift we give as our fur babies love for us is/was unconditional. RIP Romeo, we will care for your mom till she meets you at the bridge. Pug Hugs from Pastor Sue & the Colorado 3
Romeo liked pillows too.
I have been overwhelmed by the phone calls, emails and facebook messages concerning Romeo. I feel so blessed to have so many caring people. Romeo would have loved it, as he was such a people pug.
I am still playing catchup, and I promise to respond to the phone calls, emails and facebook.
Hugs from Sue and Romeo at the Rainbow Bridge
I am so sorry, I didn’t include all the OBP messages, who are holding me in their arms as I grieve for my Romeo. As I said, this was has been overwhelming, and Romeo would have loved all the people attention.
I would love to snuggle with you Henry. Looks comfy.
Many thoughts and prayers are still with you Sue. Please feel our love and support.
Pug Hugs from Bella & me
Oh Henry.. who wouldn’t want to cuddle with you?? Handsome Pillow Prince.
Sue VDB, you are in my thoughts(sweet Romeo… pug hugs) xo
Sue VDB, my tears and my hugs go out to you. Sweet Romeo was a lucky, lucky boy.
Sue VDB - You have rarely left my thoughts this weekend. You were so brave throughout all the hurt and you will be blessed as you continue through this with thoughts of your sweet, dear Romeo. Remember, we are here to help. As for me, please don’t think you need to respond. I only want you to know you are thought about as well as Romeo and will continue to be.
Don’t you just wonder what the “Pillow Prince” is thinking…..he has such a soulful look. Smooches on your noggin’.
I wonder what it is about dogs and pillows? They all love them, especially the ones with fringe on them. After they wake up from their snooze they can try to pull on and destroy the the fringe! I gave up on buying pillows with fringe.
Sue VDB, I am sorry to hear about your baby, Romeo.
So sorry Sue VDB. Thinking of you and hoping that your happy memories of Romeo are bringing you some comfort at such a sad time.
I am so sorry Sue.
We all understand how these guys are our babies. Mine is in getting a dental and I’m sick to my stomach with worry until I know he is out from under the anesthetic.
I grieve any time I hear someone has lost theirs because it is such a fear.
Amy ~ Please let us know as soon as you hear how Mushu is doing. I will send a quick prayer for your baby. Great name by the way.
SUE VDB: I hope you are gently carried through the days and weeks ahead by your happy thoughts of Romeo and the love and well-wishes of your friends.
Henry, Old Bean: You are definitely saying something with those big ol’ eyes of yours. But I’m not sure what. Are you maybe telling “the paparazzi” to go away so you can get your doze on?? Too bad - you’re just so darned adorable . . . the camera (and all OBP) loves ya, baby!
Amy, praying for your Mushu that he will make a quick recovery and be a bouncy, lovey pug in your arms again.
Amy——-having a dental uses less anethesia than a spay or neuter so I wouldn’t worry too much. Your Pug should be up and about in no time afterwards unless he/she has had some extractions. Pugs have such terrible teeth anyhow even when we brush them!
Sue VDB—-
So very sorry to hear about your baby,...our thoughts and prayers are with you..cnnot imagine what you are going through..you need to remeber all of the wonderful times you spent with your precious baby!
Dear Sue, I shed tears for you today. Making this decision is so hard to do, but when it is time to release them from pain and a hopeless situration it is up to those who love them to let them go to the Rainbow bridge where there is no pain. Now he is at peace playing, having a painfree time. I know it will be a great time when you are able to join him and go acrose the bidge with him.
Henry you are really enjoying that pillow. So does Dakato! She is a real pillow sleeper!
Mushu made it out and will be going home in a little bit. Poor guy did have 6 teeth pulled. The doctor said that is really on the low side - maybe for him but not for my baby. Four on the bottom front. His little tongue’s going to hang out even more.
Thanks everyone like I said everyone here knows how much these puggies mean to us.
Again Sue sending you positive thoughts in this terribly difficult time.
So glad to hear that Amy. But sorry about his teeth. My goodness. You will have to submit a picture of him here so we can see him.
Hugs Sue VDB.
When I had Abby in to the vet last week, the issue of one of her teeth being lose came up, but not enough to have him pull it out then, he said that all dogs have the same amount of teeth and while a lab has room for all of his teeth, the smooshed up head of a pug does not and that was one reason for teeth issues being so prevalent with pugs. Interesting, eh?
Amy, glad to hear the good report on Mushu. Anesthesia is always such a worry with pug owners.
Huckle~ you are quite knowledgeable. hee hee
Amy, prayers of thanks have gone up for your Mushu.
I think this is the most adorable picture of Henry I’ve ever seen!
Sue VDB, I’m sending prayers and good thoughts to you and your angel baby Romeo. Please know that we all understand what you are going through. Blessings to you.
Ooohh How cute does Henry look? I could snuggle him all day long!
ooo, my Abby girl loved a pillow perch for a nap as well.
Sue VDB, still in my thoughts and prayers.

Henry you look so comfy. I think most pugs enjoy pillows as my gang hang on pillows when ever possible. Sue VDB hoping Romeo had a comfortable week-end keeping you both in prayer.Pug hugs from the Colorado 4
