Passed Out
Since the weather has been cooler, we have been able to get back to our normal walking routine and we have been able to get in a couple of long walks. We took a walk this weekend that was a little over 3.5 miles. I kept waiting for them to get tired, but they just kept trotting along showing no signs of slowing down. They had a great time and when we got home they still had enough energy for a game of chase! Most of our walks are only about a mile long, but about once a week we try to get in a long walk. All of them really seem to enjoy breaking up the normal walking routine with an extra long trek.
I love this time of the year because when the pugs are well exercised they are well behaved during the day when I am working. They don’t bark at every little noise and they are content to just nap until I am off work. It is amazing the difference a little bit of exercise makes.
This shot is of Benny napping while I am working. Benny is an extreme kind of guy. There is really no in between for him. He is either running and romping around the house or he is completely passed out. At almost 5 years old he is still a bundle of energy. Its just now his bursts are a little bit shorter than they were when he was a pup.

Your pugs are so cute! Im glad to hear that everything is OK, the surgery went ok and the non-cancerous lump on the eye. I recently rescued a pug from an owner that was neglecting him terribly. When I got him his collar was 4 notches too tight therefore leaveing a hairless sore filled ring around his neck, he also had multiple sores on his hind legs and by his tail from bitting it. I went to Pet Smart and got anti-baterial and anti-itch to try to help him out. We have now had him for almost a month and have had to resort to useing a “satelite” collar to insure he doesn’t chew himself to the point of bleeding. I don’t know what to do about the itching, he doesn’t have flees and I don’t know what else to do. PLEASE HELP!!
