Mums

Benjamin and Henry

Benny & Henry posing by the mums. Perhaps this is their belated Mother's day gift for me?

I always thought mums were fall flowers, but we planted these a few years ago and they bloom every spring and fall. I'm not very knowledgable when it comes to flowers so it was a pleasant surprise for me. grin

It just might have a been a surprise gift for you…......the Pugs were saying “Mums the word, let’s see if she notices”.
The picutres and the stories about the Pugs certainly touch my heart!

They are looking handsome in front of the flowers. Where is Miss. Looney? Maybe the mums make her sneeze.

Hugs to all from Bella & me!

The boys seem to be anxiously watching your face to see if you liked the surprise from them.  I think I hear Luna giggling.

Up here in the North Country you can force two blooms a year by deadheading or cutting back the old blooms after flowering in the spring.  They are also easy plants to start new ones from by using cuttings from the old ones.  I used to do this a lot when I could still garden like someone who had normal knees.

Georgie is off to the vet again this afternoon.  He had a bad weekend and really struggled to walk after his naps.  This time it was his right foreleg as well as his left.  Unless you were looking at him, you wouldn’t know there was a problem.  He doesn’t let out a peep but just deals with it.  I, however, get in panicky mode and raise a ruckus for both of us.

Mums are a perennial flower. Here in Kansas they are a fall flower, although I hear there are some varieties now that bloom in spring and fall.  Happy belated Mothets Day from the OBP pugs.

The boys look so sweet!  They do seem to be looking at you and hoping you’re happy with the mums!

Huckle, I hope the vet has some good answers for Georgie’s problem.  He sure is a trooper not to be complaining.

For some reason Huckle’s comment didn’t post to my email, and I didn’t realize there was a problem until I read Martha’s comment.  I hope that poor Georgie gets some good results from the vet.  I will keep Georgie and you in my prayers.

Please keep us updated.
