Mellow Yellow

Luna

The other day, a metal piece of Luna's harness that is used to adjust the straps broke and the only thing we had on hand was one of Solsey's old harnesses. Solsey wore this harness for about a week when she first came to us. After a week, we quickly realized that should could afford the next size up.

It is weird seeing Luna in yellow instead of pink. Every time I look at her I have to do a double take.

Yes, that’s why the picture doesn’t seem right - yellow instead of pink. (Wish they made those harnesses in extra large - Georgie’s has gotten too tight just since we’ve had him.)  Luna looks super sweet no matter what color she dresses up in.  I have been laughing all week over her ‘cucumber fling’..what a great video.

Looking at Luna’s expression, I believe Luna knows she is dressed in something different, and also knows she looks divine.

Its funny as soon as I looked at the picture of Luna in the yellow harness I thought it was Sols but she looks very cute in it and I think Sol would be very happy sharing it with her sister by the way Luna looks good in anything even just her fur-thday suit as Jennifer said

So for those that have the Puppia harnesses…do you think that they have a little more give to them than the regular harnesses?

In other words, do you think they would be more comfortable for Mr. Cole who has a little extra…girth?  He’s bulging out of his standard strap one…*giggle*...

Heather I love the pappia harnesses I have one for each one of the five pugs and even my peke wears one they are very soft and the give a lot my vet was impressed with them he said they are easier on there chest then the regular kind I found the xlarge is good if they are bigger in there chest and there are so many nice colors to chose from

Heather, I got Romeo a Puppia harness in XL from H. Doodle.  XL fits neck 16.5, girth 22.25 - 31.5 inches.  It is soft, and very comfortable, more so than a regular harness.  There is a Freedom Harness as well, but it would not fit my Romeo…it was too small. Like Sue said, the Puppia is better on the chest, and if Cole pulls, it will be easier on him.

Sue…and Sue, thank you!!!  grin  I had a feeling it would be a better fit for the boy when looking at it…it just looks like it would give a little more freely than the dang straps on the other ones.  Thanks for the 1st hand knowledge…and Cole thanks you too!!

Luna, you are quite striking in yellow:-)  Beautiful reminder of your sister angel in heaven, Solsie, as well sweet girl!

p.s. I thought you all would be amused/astounded/amazed that the little girl Abby, the very very sick one of a few weeks ago, is proving everybody wrong with how much she is recovering!!!!  My word for her the last 3 mornings has been pistol, cuz she is raring to go and woofing at me to get out of bed at 5:30 to go for a walk!!  She is craving being outside, and it is a bit sad to know I need to hold her back a bit to recondition her, since we were both so immobile for so many weeks.  Go puggy girl!!!!!  Prayers and St Francis have worked their magic.  She is 12 yrs and 7 months on the 23rd!!!

Pug Mama, that is wonderful news. Abby, you go girl.  I prayed to St. Francis to help Abby, now I will thank him.  My Romeo will be 12 in November, but he doesn’t look or act it.  I had the priviledge of being around several senior pugs last weekend at a meeting.  I absolutely love these seniors.

Thank you for the happy update.

I think it’s the way Luna stands that, beside the harness (I didn’t know they did come in XL) makes one think just at first that it is Sol.  I thought so too for a couple of seconds.

Pug Mama - Great news about Abby.  It’s hard to believe now how ill she had been.  I am just delighted and think all of our prayers and positive thinking really did a lot of good.  You enjoy every minute you have with her (as if you wouldn’t!)and keep us up to date.  Abby is a little “spit fire” and tenacious isn’t she.  Smooooch
