Luna the Pug-la-la heading towards La-La-Land.  What a sweet picture.

An update for those of you who asked:  Bella has been taking AZOO cranberry pills for about a little over a month now - just got another UTI - so I’m not real sure that it’s making any difference.  I do notice that she tends to drink more water which is good - but apparently not enough to avoid the infection.  Her vet said to add the canned Science Diet C/D to her dry meal for a bit more moisture - so we’re giving that a go.

Good Weekend to Everyone - from Iowa to Where Ever You All Are!

That girl always seems to have a diabolical smile going over something…probably something she did to her brothers that they have yet to find out and that they won’t figure out she did.  You go, Luna!!!  Precious, precious Luna.

Although I didn’t submit a picture, I am anxious to see the finished calender of the OBP blog gang.  You do good work Corrine and keep us all happy.

Let me tell you from personal experience that the pill to rid my gang of Giardia, DOES NOT TASTE GOOD! All four of the gang are on it which means a pill for each twice a day.  The vet tech told me to hide it in hot dogs or pill pockets because it is so bitter tasting.  That worked for each one, once.  After that, Abby staunchly refused to be tricked.  That meant I had “to go in” and put it in the back of her throat.  OK, except that I kept finding discarded pills that I thought I’d secured.  Yesterday I had a bowl of ice cream that I was about to enjoy after the pill giving.  Everybody had their pills, including Abby.  So I sat back to enjoy my ice cream.  As I got toward the bottom of the bowl I came in contact with this hard thing after I’d put the spoonful in my mouth.  You guessed it - Abby had somehow gotten into my bowl and I have no idea how she did it so sureptitiously.  Let me tell you, that sucker was unbelievably BITTER, but the upside is that I won’t have Giardia!

Huckle, that story is just too funny…YUCK, I bet you were quite surprised, but had to giggle about how it got there!!

Oh Looney I love you so. You look so sweet and so smoochable. I always have to smooch Pip while he is sleeping and he doesn’t seem to mind it.

Huckle~ I laughed out loud at your post! That is so funny. I love how you said ‘but the upside is that I won’t have Giardia’. So funny.

Have a great weekend everyone. Pug Hugs from Gina & Pip!

I just received a sweatshirt I ordered from PugZoo.com.  It is gray with a pug in the middle of the front.  Above it says “It’s Not A Dog”, and below it says “It’s a Pug”.  Very cute.  Thought you might like to know.

Snoozin’ Looney, you and your bro’s have a great weekend:-)

Mary C, Hello neighbor, I’m over in cow country WI (Madison).

Huckle, Abby wised up to pill pockets, plus with the excessive pills she was recently on, it was just too pricey to give her pills that way so we started giving her pills in a bit of liver sausage/liverwurst/braunswager, etc, etc whatever you call it.  Stinky enough, dogs are in love with it, and it molds around the pill, and with another little blob to follow the blob with the pill, the dogs will never know what they got!!!

Everybody have a great weekend:-)

Pug mama - yes, I’ll have to get some braunschwager and try that.  Last night, my husband and I tried for over 3 min. or so to get her to take it with peanut butter.  By the time we called it quits, we were both wearing peanut butter.  She won.  This morning I just ended up jamming it far enough down her throat that she got it after only 4 tries.  But I’m so afraid I’ll hurt her with my fingernails plus I try to keep her nose uncovered as I wrestle the pill down.  I need one of those horse pill triggers (I don’t know what it’s called)that zooms medicine down their throats.  That would do it!

Huckle - put the pill far down as possible, close her jaw and blow hard into her face, the usual reaction is that they get a bit of a shock and swallow as a result! [ one of our local Vets did it to one of mine and it really works. Peanut Butter used to work, but when they see the peanut butter bottle coming out they all leave very hasteley via the closest door
